“If you're in a toxic environment, toxic relationship, you don't need to fix them. You need to get stronger… not stronger and tolerate, but stronger and leave.” -Jeramiah Solven
The most common toxic relationship is the one that you try to control in name of love. The saying goes, “if you love something, set it free” but if we feel threatened by losing what we love, oftentimes we hold on to people and things in an unhealthy way. This type of behavior stems from fear and a lack of self-love, which creates an environment of unworthiness. If you find yourself trying in this type of environment, whether it be romantic, platonic, or professional, this episode will help you identify and handle such relationships- like a sniper!
This week, Jeramiah Solven, former member of the US Army and CEO of Conquer Academy joins the stage to highlights the real problem of why many people fall and tolerate toxic relationships- FEAR. Bruce and Jeramiah also discuss why you should take chance on yourself, find a mentor who believes in you, trust your gut, examine yourself if you are driven by ego instead of confidence, and receive help gracefully instead of doing stuff on your own (even if you can do stuff on your own).
If you don’t have any reasons left to stay, don’t. But sometimes, having the courage to leave is a challenge. Tune in and discover 2 ways you can do right now to be strong and courageous to embrace the uncomfortable and confront that fear.
