This past Sunday, we had a standalone preach from Ma Khabo, one of our very own here at RRC. She gave a magnificent post-Easter word on how we can see that the Cross is God's love in action.

Through the Scriptures, she showed us that as believers, we can trust in God's love for us because of what Jesus did for us on the Cross!

For our Good Friday service here at Rec Road Church, we had seven powerful messages expanding on 'The Seven Last Words of Jesus or (Amaze Ayisikhombisa kaJesu.)'
Each of our speakers gave an inspiring and sobering message that encouraged us to reflect on what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross.

At Rec Road Church this week, we had Craig Botha, a guest speaker from Grace Generation Church, come and close off our Holy Spirit Series. He took us through John 7:37–39, showing us how the Holy Spirit helps us to have a high view of all of the gifts, including prophecy.

On our second-to-last sermon of our Holy Spirit series, we had Nathan Haylock give a dynamic teaching on prophecy. He took us through 1 John 4:1–6 and showed us that the Scriptures not only affirm prophecy but also encourage us to walk out the Biblical model.

This week at Rec Road Church, we had Prince continue our Holy Spirit series. This week’s topic was a walkthrough of the 'Gifts of the Holy Spirit in corporate worship'. Reading from 1 Corinthians 14:26–27, he challenged us to move away from our modern understanding of worship and to believe what the Word of God says about it.

This Sunday we gathered under the Word of God as Nozi took us through a powerful message, helping us to see the different gifts that the Holy Spirit gives us. Nozi walked us through the importance of having a Biblical view of the gifts God promises to give His children, and she unpacked with us how to practically engage with those gifts.

Continuing in our Holy Spirit series, we had Kopano Malebo, a guest speaker from Grace Generation Church, to share a powerful message on how the Holy Spirit of God is a Person. Kopano unpacked the different ways that we see the Holy Spirit relating to us as a Person and gave us a deeper understanding of how the Spirit of God helps, teaches, and convicts us.

This Sunday, we had Bandile Sizani, a guest speaker from one of our partner churches, Grace Generation Church, beautifully unpack the topic, “Who the Holy Spirit Is to Us,” as part of our Holy Spirit series.
His four points—Doctrine, Delight, Doxology, and Doing—helped us see the many ways we can put our trust in God’s Holy Spirit and look to Him for help.

Prince kicked off our new series where we will be diving deeper into our understanding of God's own Spirit.

He opened the series up by explaining to us Who the Holy Spirit is, taking us through the different parts of Scripture both New and Old Testament, showing us that He has always been with and among us.

Nozi shared from 1 Samuel 30:1-10 about the life of David.

She elaborated on David being

- a man after God's own heart

- a skilled fighter

- a man who enquired of the Lord

David went though some difficult times

She challenged us to to think on who or what we run to in times of distress.

In our distress we can approach the throne of grace with boldness.
