There has been much debate over the years on the best way to structure the real estate recruiting function in a brokerage.
Some leaders believe it’s best to have first-level managers heavily involved in the recruiting process. After all, wouldn’t a recruiting prospect want to connect with the manager with whom they’ll be working?
Others believe a centralized approach is more effective. Doesn’t it make sense that results would be better if a recruiting team was exclusively focused on the difficult task of recruiting?
We won’t settle the debate today, but we will give you a peek into one of best run centralized recruiting organizations in the country.
Jeremy Lambert and his recruiting team at Your Castle Real Estate recruit over 300 agents per year, and he’ll share what he’s learned from leading a centralized recruiting group over the last decade.
If you ever thought of centralizing your recruiting function, you won’t want to miss today’s episode.

In today's podcast, we'll be joined by Rob Keefe. Rob is the founder and President of Relitix
Relitix helps real estate brokerages use data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to make better management decisions, recruit and coach more effectively, and find new ways to stick it to their competitors.
Full disclosure: Rob and I have something in common besides real estate. We were classmates together at the Naval Academy some 30-odd years ago, and we both spent time as naval officers before jumping into the real estate industry.
Before starting Relitix, Rob led organizations in every corner of residential real estate, including real estate brokerage, real estate development, mortgage banking, title, and relocation management.
He also served as Chairman of the Wisconsin Realtors Association representing the state's 14,000 Realtors and has served as a board member of the National Association of Realtors.

Today we’ll be joined by Stephanie Robertstad. Stephanie is a recruiting coordinator for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox and Roach Realtors.
For those of you who don’t know, BHHS Fox and Roach is the flagship franchise in the BHHS network. They were recently ranked #1, for the sixth year in a row, and show no signs of slowing down.
They are headquartered just outside of Philadelphia, but they have more than 5,500 agents and over 75 offices spread across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
We all know that you don’t get this large and remain on top without recruiting. As you’d expect, they’ve been remarkably successful at attracting and growing some of the best agents in the country.
To pull something off this substantial, it only makes sense you’d need a team of talented individuals who are working on recruiting from various angles. Today, we’ll just look at one part of over their overall recruiting system, and that’s the digital sourcing and hiring of new agents.
Stephanie sits at the center of this part of their system, so let’s jump in and learn how the experts do this!

In this podcast, we’ll be connecting with Dave Caveness. Dave is the President and CEO of Carpenter Realtors in Indianapolis.
During his tenure with Carpenter, he grew his company from seven small neighborhood locations to more than 30 offices that are strategically located in central Indiana. They are now more than 650 agents strong, and recruiting continues to be their primary focus.
The discussion with Dave started off strategic as he shared the subtle yet powerful advantages of tasking selling managers with recruiting responsibilities.
While it’s not for everyone, with the right managers and framework, he shows why it is a potent way to drive recruiting results.
In the second half of the podcast, Dave describes how he uses gamification to keep his managers focused on recruiting.
Recruiting goes better when it’s competitive, full of energy, and fun. And he shares a tactic you can quickly duplicate in your organization to increase results!

Today, we'll be connecting with Lisa Chinatti about recruiting and retention in the crazy world of real estate teams.
She is the person the large real estate portals have nicknamed the Beast of the Northeast, and today, you’re going to find out why.
Lisa and her business partner Jason Posnick were pioneers in the mega-team movement that has swept across the real estate industry.
What’s a mega-team? It's a team that is so large, it makes most brokerages look small.
And yet, it still operates like a nimble, tight-nit crew that can pivot and quickly capture new opportunities.
Nothing is easy when it comes to recruiting talent, but you'll save a bunch of time and headaches if you can learn from what Lisa and Jason are doing!

Vanessa is the Managing Broker of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Office in Cary/Morrisville region of North Carolina.
She has been making a bunch of noise in the real estate industry for the last 18 years.
She established her career as a high-performing independent agent and later co-founded the Triangle’s “Real Estate Chix” team—one of the most successful real estate teams in the central North Carolina. Prior to real estate, she worked as a marketing and advertising professional for 14 years, specializing in small business marketing.
All of her experience has led her to the work she is doing today—leading and growing a group of amazing agents who she is inspiring to do their best work each day.
She recently told me she loves her new position, which she has been in for 10 months now, because it enables her to give and do work that is the best version of herself every day.

Welcome to this episode of Recruiting Insight. It’s a great day to recruit.
Laurie Brill from Howard Hanna Real Estate Services stopped by to talk with us today about the great recruiting work she has done during her career.
If you haven’t met Laurie—prepare to be amazed. She has really done it all!
For the first 18 years of her career, she was a full-time, high-performing Realtor. During that time, she started and ran two successful teams.
She then founded and managed her own brokerage for several years before being selected to lead a Keller Williams office on the westside of Cleveland.
In 2015, she joined Howard Hanna—one of the most prominent real estate brands in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, and several other states--as the Director of Strategic Growth.
Altogether, she has been in the real estate industry for 35 years, and I think you’re going to learn a lot today.
