The Red Bastards are back! After a hiatus over the Christmas and New Year period we sat down for a no holds bar, as long as we could talk, drinking session in which we happened to be recording!

In the first of a two parter we go at length about our experiences so far Podcasting and some of our favourite films of the year!

Eric has worked in the film industry for a long time as visual effects supervisor, special effects supervisor, model maker and puppet master and is also a writer and director. He gives us some superb insight into what that's like - hear us blown away as we're regaled with tales of working on Spiderman 2, Team America and in depth talk of Deadwood, HBO Emmy after-parties and so much more. We loved chatting to Eric and were hanging on to every word; we hope you are too.

We discuss the story's relevance to society, whether this should be a Joker film or not, Phoenix as the Joker (of course) and many many other things.

Solo Duff recording this week with Matt on holiday - but he still manages to steal Duffy's thunder via the power of voice message. Spoliers after 15 mins with a jingle to boot - when Duffy goes into the myriad of reasons why he likes the Big Short. Relatively high res talk about the film but we hope this sparks an interest to watch it again - especially if you saw this when it came out but had not revisited it?!! In which case DO IT NOW!!

In todays episode we discuss our favourite 90s comedies. There is debate, but not as you know it. We are actually civil and friendly with one another - you'll all agree this marks a huge step in our lives and we are well on the way to becoming fully fledged adults (lame, we know)
