Guadalupe Rodriguez called in from Austin where he is Associate Director of Formation in the Diaconal Ministry Office. Dcn. Rodriguez heads up Project Stephen, the diocese's official avenue for helping men to discern if they are called to the diaconate. On June 20, 2017, host Pam Mavin (and impromptu co-host Judy Comeaux!) began the show by checking in with Terrie Lipscomb for an update on the remarkable kidney transplant procedure of her son, Gage, who accepted the healthy kidney of his dad, David. Gage is one of David and Terrie's eleven children and they have entrusted Gage to the intercession to Pope St. John Paul II throughout their son's lifelong battle with kidney disease. In the second part of the show, Kristin Stravinsky called in all the way from Erie, Pennsylvania, to encourage Catholics everywhere to join in the beautiful and powerful practice of the enthronement of the Sacred Heart in the home. Pam and Kristin both shared numerous stories of conversion and healing as a result of families enthroning the Sacred Heart. The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is June 23. Tune in if you want to find a new way to show your love and devotion to Christ. Enjoy the show, like RED-C Catholic Radio on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter at @REDCRadio. On June 13, 2017, host Gene Wilhelm spoke with Daryl and Lori Nagle, longtime Catholic youth ministers, first in Dallas and now Waco, Texas. The Nagles talked about how they met and married; their entry into youth ministry during the 1980s at the same time that they tried to discern God's plan for their family; the marvelous circumstances surrounding the birth of their first child; and the wonderful and surprising ways that God has been present in every stage of their lives together. They returned often to the realization that youth ministry gave them a chance to spiritually parent many children as well as witness the Faith in a profound way to their natural children. If you are in need of reassurance that God has a plan for your life and that He is with you through thick and thin, then listen in!
