The fledgling club football season is just underway which means it's time to break it all down and pick international football back up. That is, at least, what FIFA will be requiring after this upcoming weekend's fixtures. The second match week of Premier League football is upon us and it promises to be quite the weekend. Assuming the EPL and PGMOL have cleared up their processes and we don't see a second week in a row of apologies to clubs for errors, the line up of matches this weekend is top tier. Multiple London Derbies take place throughout the weekend, but the top billing will the the afternoon games on Saturday. A double header of sorts, featuring some of the heaviest hitters in the division. Spurs welcome Manchester United to North London while Manchester City will see upstart Newcastle come to the Etihad. The somewhat humorous story from this weekend is that Luton Town's Kenilworth Road stadium is not yet up to standard for a Premier League matchday, so their game against Burnely is postponed. From Friday to Monday there are plenty of games for you to check out this weekend.

It wouldn't be an EPL weekend if we didn't have another apology from the PGMOL to a club for a VAR decision gone wrong. In the 94th minute of the final game this weekend, Wolves should have been awarded a penalty, according to the PGMOL. When can fans of the English game expect that the product on the field is no longer beset by mistakes week after week?

Beyond the poor referee standards, the weekend was one to enjoy.
