Manchester City are champions! After playing thirty-five games, City were crowned champions when Arsenal lost their thirty-seventh game against Nottingham Forest this weekend. Pep's dominance over English football is cemented in a three-peat of league titles, a feat not occurring since Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester Untied team did it in the 2000's. Now is the perfect time to start the debates over which Manchester team is better. Elsewhere in the league, Newcastle United have secured Champions League football for next season. The turn around from when Eddie Howe first joined to where they are now has Newcastle supporters everywhere excited for the future. Liverpool and Manchester United will battle it out for the final spot in next season's UCL, but United need just one point over their last two games to ensure their place. Everton Leicester, and Leeds United are all fighting to avoid being relegated alongside Southampton. Two of those three teams will see their stay in the Premier League come to an end, many interesting plot points to be figured out over the next week of English football.

Two match weeks remain until the summer break is upon us. A win this weekend for Manchester City will see part one of their Treble charge complete, as they would be crowned champions of the Premier League. A third season running for the Citizens, Pep's men have a strangle hold on the Premier League. Manchester and Newcastle United will look to hold off charging Liverpool. Red hot Liverpool will host upcoming Aston Villa this weekend, where a win for either teams would see their chances of qualifying in Europe enhanced. With Southampton already relegated, the battle for the final two relegation places in hot contention. West Ham will welcome Leeds to the London Stadium knowing that a win for the Hammers would see them safe for next year. Conversely, should Leeds lose, they could be relegated if other results go against them. Leicester have a seemingly impossible task, away against Newcastle. Defeat for Leicester would almost certainly seal their demotion. A mid table clash between Chelsea and Crystal Palace could see Palace go above their London counterparts, something that Chelsea fans would dread.

The Champions League semi-finals come to an end this week. AC Milan have been eliminated by Inter Milan which takes Inter to their first UCL final in 13 years. The Nerazzurri will face the winner of the Manchester City/Real Madrid tie, which for RCR at time of recording hadn't been resolved yet. The boys previewed that match and made predictions on who they thought would advance to face Inter. After a incredibly disappointing defeat at home against Brighton, Arsenal's title challenge is all but over. For Arsenal to win the league at this point, Manchester City would have to drop all but one point from their remaining three games. City do have, on paper at least, a 'Big Six' opponent upcoming, but after their thrashing of Everton at the weekend it would be almost inconceivable that they would not beat Chelsea this weekend. At the far other end of the table, Southampton have confirmed their relegation after falling to Fulham. The Saints go down after having spent the last 11 years in the top division. The Premier League clubs are jockeying for final positions over the next three weeks. Most clubs have three games remaining, while some have four and one club has five. Brighton are the sole club with five games remaining and are hoping that if they take full points they could finish in the European places. Liverpool, Tottenham, and Aston Villa will hope that Brighton does not achieve this success, because it will come at their expense. Liverpool will be hoping that Manchester United's injury issues continues to have them drop points and Klopp's men will be able to sneak into the top four; in a season that has been forgettable for them. Arsenal are praying that Everton will do the unthinkable and take points off of Manchester City this weekend. At the bottom end, while Southampton are not mathematically relegated at this point, they need to win their next three games and hope that Everton or Forest drop all their remaining points. Leeds and Leicester, while not as desperate as Southampton, will need to accumulate many points and hope that those above them drop points. How will the league table look after this match weekend?

This week in the news the Champions League is back, West Ham are still kicking in the Conference League, Brad has an interesting talking point regarding the previous summer's transfer window, and F1 makes their first stop in the USA. Starting off the conversation, Real Madrid/Manchester City and AC Milan/Inter Milan square off in the first leg of the semi-finals. Madrid and City played to a 1-1 draw in Madrid leaving everything to play for in Manchester. Inter got off to a quick start against Milan, scoring two very quick goals, and were able to hold onto that lead and win the match 2-0. With an advantage, will they be able to hold on and secure their first Champions League final berth since they won the UCL in 2010? Thirty-four match weeks have been played in the EPL and in the first week in May Chelsea Football Club can say, with their whole chest, that they are safe and secure in the Premier League for another season. Seven straight weeks without a victory ends with Frank getting his first win in his second stint as Chelsea manager. Newcastle and Arsenal played a cagey match that saw Arsenal keep pace with the leaders City. Huge relegation implications across the board with West Ham, Forest, and Everton all picking up huge victories in situations that may not have looked on paper that they would win. West Ham took full points against Manchester United, Everton absolutely shocked Brighton, winning that match 1-5, and Forest picked up three huge points against relegation opponents Southampton.

Roughly four weeks remain in the Premier League season and a few pictures are starting to come into focus. It appears, unless disaster strikes, Manchester City will be crowned champions the the third straight season. Arsenal, who lead for so long will finish just short of the champions in second; marking a return to the Champions League next year for the first time in seven seasons.
