Fauste chooses the easiest path forward. Chip jumps off the side of the ship while everyone else uses the gangplank, and the crew discovers that the abandonded city ship may not be as lifeless as they first assumed.

After receiving some troubling news, Fauste and Wilhelm find themselves face to face with the lord commander of the Aurai armada. While negotiations are held aboard Quierdaun's vessel, Tulen faces the repercussions of setting off a steam explosion.

The party finally reaches the blockade. Wilhelm runs into an old friend, and Fauste receives a troubling message.

The party encounters a mysterious and hostile creature on the cloud sea. And Aaron says "do do," and the barricade looms in the distance, standing between them and the Fathomless Heaven.
