Our host Manmeet Narang talks to storyteller and social researcher Amrita who has interviewed hundreds of South Asian Punjabi women across three generations about periods, sexuality, pregnancy, abortion, child birth and marital rape as part of her research project. Shocking stories stumble out that leave you sad but also hopeful that change is not far now that women are learning to speak up. 

On one hand, International students are being blamed for the crisis in Canada but are we aware that many students go without food for days? Puneet Johal, an advocate of the rights of International students who has spoken on various panels, shares her story with our host Manmeet Narang. She recounts her struggles when she was a student at Sheridan College and her drive to change the tarnished image of international students in Canada.  

Host Shameel Jasvir speaks with Doctor Jagdish Chopra regarding "Canada’s Guidance on Alcohol and Health", a new set of guidelines released at the start of 2023 by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction. The new recommended quantities for alcohol consumption, the deleterious effects of alcohol on health, the role alcohol plays in the South-Asian community and in society at large, and many more questions are answered in this informative segment. 

Diagnosed with cancer at the age of 36, Navneet decided to create an organization Cancer Warriors to spread awareness about the disease and where every woman can seek support of any kind. Our host, Manmeet Narang, interviews her on International Women's Day about her inspiring journey.
