In this passage Paul gives us three rationales for being a holy and distinct people.

Why would anyone fall for human speculation when we have divine revelation-

Christ calls us to follow His example of servanthood.

Jesus calls on us to reorder our values with Him above all.

We focus on getting out of dire situations instead of learning to rely on Christ more completely.

Those who attempt to serve God in any age will face discouragement i.e. human limitations, the indifference of people, or the aggressiveness of evil. But Paul gives us some reasons for encouragement, and we should learn them well.

In the New Testament Jesus Christ lifts the veil on His Bride, the Church, not so He can see us better but to allow us to see Him better- God has established two covenants with mankind. The first or -Old- Covenant was replaced by the second or -New- Covenant because of its superiority.

By God's grace and with the help of the Holy Spirit all of us should be writing -love letters- - individuals brought to salvation in Christ through our witness.
