    In this episode of "Red, White and Confused", I chat with Miranda Cashio, Andrew Sanders, and Gail Helt, who each share how the pandemic is going in their states (VA, TX, and TN).

    Miranda Cashio is an instructor of nursing at the University of Virginia's College at Wise. She also works as a registered nurse in the emergency department at a local community hospital here in Southwestern Virginia.

    Andrew Sanders is an assistant professor of political science at Texas A&M University San Antonio. His research teaching focuses on conflict and conflict resolution, and Texas politics. 

    Gail Helt spent nearly a dozen years as an analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency focused on China, and also spent two years supporting President Obama’s effort to transfer detainees from Guantanamo ahead of its intended closure. Professor Helt’s research interests include democratization, human rights, and Asian politics.
