Many say that the birth of freedom occurred on July 4, 1776, when our nation’s forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence — but this statement is false. As crucial as this nominal event was for our great country, freedom long outdates it. Ultimate freedom was birthed over 2,000 years ago on a cross outside Jerusalem. Had it not been for Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, we would live in a very different America.
