Game notes:

Wings lose to canes 2-1 (Thursday)

- Husso starts in net

- Still no Larkin, Compher, Perron or Kostin

- Canes get the first goal after a pp opportunity and the boys were gassed at that point. Walman left Ras to watch the back door player thus leading to the goal by Jack Drury

- Rasmussen gets it back to tie in the 2nd with a snipe top shelf. He’s back baby

- Jordan staal picks apart an opportunity where Husso makes a mistake with the puck with a weird bounce off the boards making it 2-1

- kane had an opportunity at an open net goal, but was saved nicely by Kochetkov

- Overall, strong performance by Husso. No larkin, Compher and Perron really does a number to this teams depth and it shows. Shocked it was as low scoring as it was. Good effort overall, but just a boring game in general

Wings lose to Flyers 1-0 (Saturday)

- Wings have only won two games in Philly since 4-4-2010…

- Kostin and Compher return to the lineup. Thank Christ

- Lyon starts in net. Also thank Christ

- Philly scores early off a Compher deflection puck goes right into the net

- Lyon gets injured in the 2nd period, not sure how yet or what it might be but Husso came in to replace him and looked amazing

- Husso would be pulled on and off with 3mins left but the wings couldn’t bury the puck in the net

- Refs definitely turned a blind eye on some cross checks and roughings out there, but no excuses

- There really is not much us that came from this game

- The team looked lost and their passing was off tremendously

- Not having Larkin, Perron and a slightly stale Compher after out a few games is really hurting this team

- What does it mean for this team if Lyon is out an extended period of time?
