The Grand Rapids Griffins head into the AHL All-Star break with an insane 35-7-2-1 record and lead the entire American Hockey League! This past week the Griffins wrapped up their 9 day road trip with a game in Milwaukee that had a wild finish to the second period with 88PIMs from just one scrum! Then the Griffins headed down to Charlotte for the first time since 2016 to take on the Checkers where they officially split the season series. The Toledo Walleye had another three games in three days stretch with travel for two games! They started the weekend with a big win in Kalamazoo on Motley Zoo night and saw their offence have a big night! The Walleye headed back to Toledo where they unfortunately could not defend home ice but headed to Cincinnati to close out the weekend and had an offence explosion where Tanner Kelly found the back of the net twice to close out his four goal weekend!
