The Detroit Red Wings will be drafting 8th overall for the 2022 NHL Draft. Many notable names will be available to the Red Wings at that point of the NHL Draft.

One of those names is Jonathan Lekkerimaki. Lekkerimaki is an explosive, offensive-minded winger who can create on his own and can finish with his sniper. His catch and release are said to be the best available in the 2022 NHL Draft and will definitely be one of the best prospects available at pick 8. We will take a quick look at Lekkerimaki’s strengths and weaknesses as well as his team fit.

Bruce Cassidy, former head coach of the Boston Bruins, was fired this week. Should the Red Wings consider bringing in Cassidy to replace Jeff Blashill as the new Red Wings head coach?
