• U18 IIHF World Championships begin on Wednesday the 20th tomorrow in Switzerland (6hr difference)

o Names to look out for include:

 Lukas Dragicevic, Colby Barlow, Matt Wood, Andrew Cristall, Calum Ritchie, Axel Sandin Pellikka, Noah Dower Nilson, Tom willander (not wallinder), Will Smith, Gabe perreault, Ryan Leonard, Oliver Moore, Cole Hutson (24 draft eligible), Cole Eiserman (24 draft eligible), Eduard Sale, Dalibor Dvorsky.

• Every team in the playoffs has played their 1st game. Any surprises?

o Seattle beats Avs 3-1

o Tampa beats Toronto 7-3

o Kings beat Oilers 4-3 in OT

• Jets Center Morgan Barron gets 75 stitches in the face after basically pushed into the VGK goalies skate. He would return in the game.

• Matt Dumba laid a huge hit on Pavelski and seems to be the 1st public enemy in the playoffs

• Michael Bunting continues with his on ice antics by taking a hit to Erik Cernak’s head. Received a 3 game suspension and there goes the Maple Leafs season LOL.

Player Forward Grades! We touched on every forward that played a minimum of 10 games with the Red Wings, but excluded those that were traded.

LET'S GET SILLY FOR ADASM FANTILLI!:

o Majority consensus #2 overall pick for mock drafts

o Fell just short behind Jack Eichel for most PPG by a NCAA forward in their draft year – Eichel (1.78) Fantilli (1.72) last 20 years

 Ranked 3rd in most points in a season by all u19 players in the NCAA since 1990-1991 season

o In his draft minus 1 year in the USHAL as a u17 year old, he was a 1.37PPG player with 74pts in 54 games.

 The next best player had 50pts in 62 games…

• What cant this guy do? Elite center that is fast, wins faceoffs, can score, hits people, and create plays with his amazing IQ

• Skating

o Probably one of his better attributes, he skates really well and fast for someone who is 6ft 2 187lbs with some nice edges

• Shooting

o Tends to miss some shots, but has such a powerful release

• Compete level/hockey IQ

o Hits, chases pucks, creates takeaways, stick lifting opposing players, will go behind the net and battle in front of the net, just knows where to be at all times and does not mind going into the dirty areas

• Things to improve

o Accuracy on his shots

o Tends to puck watch at times, but not a lot

o Will try to be too fancy sometimes, but will learn through time
