On today's episode, we finally roll back into our old ways.
We begin today's episode to stop and appreciate all of the moms out there. YOU ROCK!
We move over to some Red Wings updates on players that are over playing in the IIHF World Championships tournament. Dominik Kubalik, Lucas Raymond, Jonatan Berggren, Joe Veleno, Oli Maata, Carter Mazur and Moritz Seider are all repping the Winged Wheel in the tournament.
We touch on potential trade targets for the teams that were knocked out of the 2nd round in the playoffs. Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils, and the Seattle Kracken have been officially knocked out. Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent Hopkins, Evander Kane, are any of these players to be moved in the off season via trade?
Want a recipe on how NOT to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals? Just follow in the footsteps of two organizations. The Edmonton Oilers, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Is it even possible to contend when you have over half of your cap tied to 5 players on a 23 man roster? We do not think so.
We then finish off with a draft prospect profile of Dalibor Dvorsky. Dvorsky plays out of AIK in the Allsvenskan league in Sweden which is basically the 2nd tier league behind the SHL. He is 6'1" 201lbs shoots left and pans out to be a 2 line center in the NHL. Plays a really nice 200 foot game as a two way center that knows how to play a strong defensive minded game first. He might not have the hardest shot or be as fast as Oliver Moore, but boy does he know how to break up passes, be in the right spots offensively and defensively, and gives Derek slight hints at a Zetterberg Lite.
