Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche defended the decision to make a massive set of investigative files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein publicly available, despite growing backlash from survivors and advocates who say the release was flawed and incomplete.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche appeared on national television over the weekend to address concerns about the department’s disclosure of more than three million pages of documents from its long-running Epstein investigations. Blanche said the department worked carefully to shield victims’ identities and personal information, and that any redaction mistakes reported by survivors would be promptly corrected.

“Our process was designed to protect those who suffered abuse, and when concerns are brought to our attention, we act on them immediately,” Blanche told ABC’s “This Week.” He insisted the errors represented a tiny fraction of the material released and reaffirmed that the department is trying to balance transparency with privacy protections.

Blanche also acknowledged that the extensive review of Epstein-related records — which include documents, photographs, videos and other materials spanning multiple investigations — had concluded following this latest release, despite criticism that millions of pages remain off-limits or heavily redacted.

However, survivors and their representatives say the DOJ’s handling of the files falls far short of full transparency and justice. A group of survivors issued a statement saying that names and identifying details of victims appeared in documents that should have been protected, and that the department failed to deliver on its legal duty to fully comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Advocates have urged further oversight, including calls for the Justice Department’s inspector general to take a more active role in reviewing the disclosures and future releases. Some survivors have also expressed frustration that important evidence — such as FBI interviews or surveillance footage from Epstein’s properties — has not yet surfaced in the public archive.

Jean Luc Brunel - Potential Co-Conspirator

Jean-Luc Brunel was a French modeling agent and the founder of MC2 Model Management, an agency that operated in Paris, Miami, and New York. His name has been publicly linked to Jeffrey Epstein for years, long before the most recent DOJ memo surfaced.

Multiple victims have alleged that Epstein used modeling as a pipeline to recruit young women and girls, and Brunel’s agency has repeatedly appeared in those accounts. Survivors have stated that Epstein and Brunel socialized frequently, traveled in overlapping circles, and shared access to models and aspiring models—many of whom were teenagers at the time.

In 2019, it was revealed that Brunel was among those named in court documents from a civil suit by Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell. The documents were unsealed on 9 August 2019, a day before Epstein’s death. Giuffre alleged that she was sexually trafficked by Epstein and Maxwell to several high-profile individuals, including Brunel and Prince Andrew, while she was underage in the early 2000s.

Brunel denied wrongdoing throughout his life. However, his proximity to Epstein was not limited to casual acquaintance. Epstein was reported to have financially supported MC2 at various points, and Brunel was photographed with Epstein on multiple occasions, including in social and professional settings tied to the modeling world.

Brunel was last seen in public at the Paris Country Club on 5 July 2019. In 2020, Brunel was arrested in France on charges related to the rape of minors and sexual assault. While those charges were separate from U.S. federal proceedings involving Epstein, they stemmed from similar patterns of alleged abuse described by victims—recruitment through modeling, exploitation of age and power imbalance, and the normalization of abuse within elite social networks.

In 2022, Jean-Luc Brunel was found dead in a French prison cell while awaiting trial. His death was ruled a suicide. Jeffrey Epstein was also found dead in his cell in 2019, his death was ruled a suicide.

Despite his death, Brunel continues to appear in investigative records related to Epstein, including the DOJ memo referenced by the Miami Herald. His inclusion underscores a broader reality of the Epstein case: many central figures were never fully prosecuted in U.S. courts, and key questions about facilitation, recruitment, and institutional failure remain unresolved.

The presence of Brunel’s name in an internal DOJ document—after Epstein’s death—suggests that federal investigators continued to view his role as significant enough to document, even if evidence was described as “limited” at the time.

Les Wexner - Potential Co-Conspirator

Leslie Wexner, the Ohio-based billionaire founder of L Brands (formerly Limited Brands), is one of the most well-documented financial associates of Jeffrey Epstein. For years, Epstein functioned as Wexner’s personal financial advisor and held sweeping authority over his finances—authority that was highly unusual even within elite wealth-management circles.

Wexner granted Epstein power of attorney in the early 1990s, allowing him broad control over assets, legal matters, and financial decisions. Epstein also lived rent-free for years in a Manhattan townhouse later identified by prosecutors as a central location in his trafficking operation. The property was owned by a Wexner-controlled entity and was eventually transferred to Epstein under circumstances that have never been fully explained.

After Epstein’s 2008 federal non-prosecution agreement became public, Wexner stated that he severed ties with Epstein and later said he was unaware of Epstein’s criminal behavior at the time of their association. No criminal charges have been filed against Wexner in connection with Epstein.

Nevertheless, Epstein’s role as Wexner’s money manager was foundational to Epstein’s rise. Multiple investigations and civil cases have noted that Wexner’s wealth, connections, and institutional credibility helped position Epstein within elite political, academic, and social circles long before his crimes were publicly exposed.

Wexner is also one of the largest benefactors in the history of The Ohio State University (OSU).

Over decades, he and the Wexner Foundation have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to the university, funding major facilities, academic programs, and the Wexner Medical Center. His name is embedded throughout the institution.

OSU’s name later became nationally associated with another large-scale sexual abuse scandal involving team doctor Richard Strauss, whose abuse of students spanned years and was later found to have been ignored or inadequately addressed by the university. While the Strauss scandal may be unrelated to Epstein, it has shaped public scrutiny around how powerful institutions respond to allegations of sexual abuse—and how donor influence and reputation management can complicate accountability.

In the DOJ memo referenced by the Miami Herald, Wexner is listed as a “secondary co-conspirator,” with the document noting that SDNY was in contact with his attorneys and that a subpoena had been served. The memo states that there was “limited evidence” regarding his involvement. The document does not allege criminal conduct or draw conclusions.

The significance of Wexner’s inclusion is not a declaration of guilt, but a reflection of investigative interest. His financial and personal relationship with Epstein was substantial, prolonged, and instrumental to Epstein’s access to wealth and power. That relationship alone has continued to raise unresolved questions—particularly as institutions tied to major donors often escape the level of scrutiny applied to individuals without comparable influence.

As with much of the Epstein case, the record remains incomplete. What is clear is that Epstein did not operate in isolation. He relied on proximity to money, legitimacy, and institutional respectability—and Leslie Wexner was central to that ecosystem.

Deleted 86 Page Memo

The existence of this document directly contradicts the long-standing narrative that Epstein “acted alone,” or that meaningful investigations ended with his death. If federal prosecutors were compiling a memo of this scope, it suggests the government itself believed there were additional actors worth scrutinizing — possibly criminally.

The deletion raises immediate questions:

* Who authored the memo?

* When was it finalized?

* Why was it made public at all — and why was it removed?

* And most importantly: who was named?

For journalists, researchers, and the public, this deletion reinforces a pattern that has defined the Epstein case from the beginning: information appears, briefly, and then is obscured. Files are released in fragments. Context is stripped away. Survivors are left to relive their trauma while institutions retreat behind bureaucracy.

Transparency should not be optional in a case involving systemic sexual exploitation of minors.

If the DOJ believes disclosure would compromise active investigations, that argument should be made openly. If names are redacted for legal reasons, that should be explained. But silent removal only fuels distrust — especially when the crimes in question involve powerful people, money, and decades of protection.

The Miami Herald’s reporting confirms what many have suspected for years: the full story has never been told, and efforts to document it continue to face resistance.

In the January 2026 drop of Epstein files one detail has caused understandable concern: the appearance of a familiar name tied to a decades-old missing persons case.

An unredacted airplane flight log lists a passenger named “Kristy Rodgers” — spelled differently than Kristy Rogers — on a flight dated August 1, 1997.

That entry prompted renewed public scrutiny, particularly because Kristy Jean Rogers, a 16-year-old girl from Crestview, Florida, disappeared just one day later, on August 2, 1997.

On August 1, 1997, Kristy told her family that she was going to spend the night at a female friend's home. Instead, she stayed with her boyfriend, William Cawthon. Cawthon stated that Kristy left his home around 5:00 a.m. on August 2. Kristy's home was less than a mile away, but she never arrived. She had a kidney infection at the time of her disappearance and did not have her kidney medication with her.

Nearly three decades later, her disappearance remains one of the most haunting unsolved missing person cases in the Florida Panhandle.

Kristy would be 45 years old in 2026, her life cut before it truly began.

Who Was Kristy?

Kristy was a teenage girl, born on August 23, 1980. She stood about 5′3″ tall, weighed around 109 pounds, and had brown-to-sandy blonde hair and blue eyes, with a distinct lazy right eye. She had pierced ears and a navel piercing — small but striking details that make her real, not just a name on a missing-persons poster.

A Bag in the Woods

Six months later — in February 1998 — investigators found something chilling: a bag containing Kristy’s clothing in a wooded area behind the Crestview Plaza Shopping Center.

The clothes included:

* A shirt and shorts she owned

* Underwear and a bra

* Socks, her keys, and makeup

This area had already been searched thoroughly with cadaver dogs, which makes the bag’s discovery all the more mysterious — suggesting it may have been placed after the initial search.

The bag was not hidden — it was left in plain sight. The clothes inside appeared more worn than the bag itself, raising new questions rather than answers.

Early Theories and Investigation

In the months following Kristy’s disappearance:

* Investigators initially treated her as a potential runaway.

* As time passed with no contact, that theory faded.

* Her family and police eventually suspected foul play.

Authorities ruled out Kristy’s family members as suspects.Her boyfriend and his family passed polygraph tests, and investigators said there were no glaring inconsistencies in his statements.

But despite these early leads, no one has ever been charged in connection with her disappearance.

A Misidentification That Shocked the Family

In 1999, skeletal remains were discovered near a canal in Boynton Beach, Florida — about 300 miles from Crestview.

Initially, those remains were identified as Kristy through dental records, and her family prepared for a funeral. But within days, the medical examiner realized the records were outdated — they were taken from her dental history before she had her wisdom teeth removed in 1996. The remains still had all four wisdom teeth intact, meaning the bones were not Kristy’s.

The body was never definitively identified afterward — a heartbreaking turn that robbed Kristy’s loved ones of closure.

Epstein File Release January 2026

As tips began circulating online, the Crestview Police Department issued a public statement to clarify the matter and address growing speculation.

According to Crestview Police, they have received multiple tips from the public regarding a person with the same name but a different spelling - Kristy Rodgers - who appeared in the Epstein files as a passenger on an aircraft Aug 2, 1997.

Police stated that this lead was not new.

“A couple years ago, this lead was investigated with federal authorities,” the department explained, “and it was concluded that the person named in those files appears before the date our Kristy Rogers went missing.”

At the time the name appeared in the flight passenger list — August 1, 1997 — law enforcement confirmed that Kristy Rogers’ whereabouts were known and she was present in Crestview, Florida.

Additionally, investigators determined that:

“The person named in the flight log was actually the daughter of one of the flight crew members, with no relation to our case.”

While the similarity in names and the proximity in dates understandably raised alarms, Crestview Police have made clear that the individual listed in Epstein’s flight log is not the missing teenager from Crestview and that federal authorities previously reached the same conclusion.

What Has Not Changed

Despite this clarification, one critical fact remains:

Kristy Jean Rogers is still missing.

Her disappearance on August 2, 1997 remains an open case. She was last seen leaving her boyfriend’s home in the early morning hours, expected to walk a short distance back to her own house. She never arrived. Months later, her clothing was found abandoned in a wooded area. No arrests have ever been made.

The Epstein files did not solve her case.They did not close it.And they did not explain what happened to her.

What they did do was briefly reopen a painful question — one that law enforcement has now formally addressed — while reminding the public that Kristy Rogers’ disappearance still demands answers.

Investigators believe she was likely taken by someone she knew and trusted, given the circumstances and how she disappeared during what should have been a short walk home.

Decades later, police continue to say that all leads are still open — even though advancements in forensic technology and DNA genealogy have cracked many old cases, Kristy’s remains elusive.

Still Remembered

Kristy Jean Rogers’ case is a stark reminder that not all missing persons cases fade into obscurity. Some linger for decades not because we forget them — but because justice has not been served.

If Kristy were alive today, she might be a parent, a professional, someone with a life story still unfolding. Instead, her family — including her mother, who moved to Alabama — continues to hope for answers and closure more than 25 years later. Someone out there knows what happened.

The Dubin Family and Epstein’s Golden Years in the Flight Logs

As the Kristy Rogers case pushed investigators and journalists back into Epstein’s flight logs from 1997 and 1998, a familiar pattern re-emerged — not just random names, but entire families traveling with him repeatedly.

One of those families was the Dubins.

Long before Epstein became a household name, Glenn Dubin and his wife Eva Andersson-Dubin were already deeply embedded in Epstein’s inner circle. Their relationship didn’t begin with scandal — it began with proximity, favors, and access.

Eva Andersson-Dubin, a Swedish model who rose to international prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, met Epstein while moving through elite New York social circles.

Their relationship stretched on and off for more than a decade. Epstein paid for her medical education, supported her career, and remained a constant presence in her life even after she married Glenn Dubin in 1994 and began raising their three children.

By the late 1990s — the same years now under renewed scrutiny — the Dubins were flying with Epstein regularly.

Epstein traveling alongside Glenn, Eva, and individuals closely connected to them, during the exact window when his trafficking operation was already underway, but largely invisible to the public.

This was also the period when Epstein became financially indispensable to Glenn Dubin.

In 2004, Epstein brokered the deal that turned Glenn Dubin into a billionaire — introducing him to JPMorgan Chase leadership and facilitating the acquisition of Dubin’s hedge fund. Epstein reportedly received $15 million simply for making the introduction. From that point forward, Epstein wasn’t just a friend. He was a kingmaker.

By then, the lines were no longer social — they were transactional.

Epstein had paid for Eva’s education.He had elevated Glenn’s fortune.And he had unfettered access to their lives — including their children.

Which raises the question that makes this story so unsettling:

United Kingdom: Peter Mandelson and the Monarchy Under Pressure

* Peter Mandelson, former Labour Party heavyweight and long-time power broker, resigned from the Labour Party and was removed as the UK’s ambassador to Washington after documents showed he received three payments totaling £55,000 in the early 2000s and maintained extensive contact with Epstein. He is now under criminal investigation by the Metropolitan Police and could face prosecution for misconduct in public office.

* Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who appointed Mandelson, is facing a leadership crisis and intense criticism for his judgment in keeping Mandelson in high office amidst known Epstein ties.

Now contrast Europe’s upheaval with the United States — where the conversation remains notable for what isn’t happening.

The released files include mentions of dozens of American elites — from political figures to business leaders and media personalities — yet almost none have faced serious legal or political consequences.

Some High-Profile Mentions and Minor Fallout

* Larry Summers, former Treasury Secretary and Harvard president, stepped back from some academic and public roles after his name appeared in the files.

* Brad Karp, head of a major U.S. law firm, resigned following leaked communications.

* John Phelan, U.S. Navy Secretary appointed by Donald Trump, was linked in flight logs showing he flew on Epstein’s private jet years before his government service — a revelation that has prompted internal Pentagon concerns, though no charges.

* Promotional figures like Steve Bannon and business leaders including Elon Musk and Bill Gates appear in the files in various contexts, but their inclusion has yet to translate into meaningful legal jeopardy.

In the U.S., media attention is often fragmented and driven by partisan alignment. Stories that might unify in European capitals become polarized or distracted amid America’s broader news cycle, meaning scandals erode more quietly. There is simply less immediate pressure for elites to exit stage left.

Institutional Priorities and Legal Structure

Europe’s varied judicial and oversight systems permit faster administrative or political consequences — inquiries, resignations, and disciplinary actions — sometimes without waiting for long criminal proceedings. In the U.S., political accountability for scandals without explicit criminal charges usually requires years of investigation — a powerful buffer against short-term reputational damage.

Elite Insulation and Sympathetic Networks

Epstein’s network was global — and his influence pervasive. Yet in the U.S., many of his associates are themselves part of intellectual, financial, and political power structures, which can act as a form of insulation. Whether through delayed transparency or institutional protection, the U.S. elite class has so far avoided the same swift consequences seen abroad.

What This Reveals About Power and Accountability

The Epstein scandal — once a taboo subject — now serves as an unprecedented stress test for political systems around the world.

In Europe, the pressure has been immediate, intense, and unforgiving. Governments, parties, and even monarchies have been forced into the spotlight, with measurable consequences for those whose names appear in the documents.

In the United States, by contrast, the story is acknowledged but nmuch less punishing. Names are released; commentators debate their meaning — but no political class has been shaken to its core yet.

That does not mean nothing will happen. But months into the file release, the gap in response is telling:Europe’s elites are being held to account — even for associations — while America’s elite largely remains untouched.

And that disparity raises fundamental questions about power, privilege, and justice in our age.

Newly unsealed emails and message records involving Jeffrey Epstein reveal a long-standing association between Epstein and filmmaker Woody Allen that stretched over many years — continuing even after Epstein’s 2008 criminal conviction and up until shortly before his death in 2019.

These communications show the pair — often joined by Allen’s wife, Soon-Yi Previn — attending dinners, social gatherings, and film screenings together and maintaining contact on personal and cultural topics. In some exchanges from 2018–2019, Allen’s number appears in group texts with Epstein referencing social plans, dinners, and mutual acquaintances, illustrating a level of familiarity that persisted over time.

Epstein also helped arrange social outings, such as a 2015 White House tour for Allen and Previn, and hosted them for events at his New York residence, where emails describe them dining with other well-known figures. Additionally, a 2016 birthday letter from Allen to Epstein — included in the records — reflects their connection years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction. While Allen’s representatives have maintained there was no business relationship and that his time with Epstein always included Previn.

Soon-Yi Previn

Soon-Yi Previn was the adoptive daughter of Mia Farrow (Woody Allen Ex) and André Previn. Soon-Yi Previn was adopted as a young child by actress Mia Farrow and her then-husband, musician André Previn. She later became romantically involved with Woody Allen — who was Mia Farrow’s partner at the time — when she was an adult, and the two eventually married in 1997.

Woody Allen and Mia Farrow were never married, but they were in a long-term romantic relationship beginning in the early 1980s. During that time, Farrow had several adopted children, including Dylan Farrow, whom she adopted with Allen, and Soon-Yi Previn, whom Farrow had previously adopted with her former husband, André Previn.

In the early 1990s, while in a relationship with Mia Farrow, Woody Allen began a relationship with Soon-Yi Previn. Their relationship drew widespread criticism when it became public, given both the age differential – Allen was 62 and Previn was 23 when they married – and her status as the child of his ex-girlfriend, Mia Farrow.

In 2014, Dylan Farrow — the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen — published an open letter on The New York Times blog recounting in vivid detail the sexual abuse she says she suffered at Allen’s hands when she was seven years old. In the letter, she describes being led into a “dim, closet-like attic” in the family’s Connecticut home and alleges that Allen sexually assaulted her, and she wrote that the trauma continued to affect her throughout her life, including struggles with eating disorders and anxiety — and that Hollywood’s continued celebration of Allen amplified her pain.

The allegation first emerged publicly in 1992 amid a bitter breakup between Allen and Mia Farrow after Allen began a relationship with Soon-Yi Previn, who was Farrow’s adopted daughter from a previous marriage to André Previn. Allen has consistently denied the abuse allegation, framing it as a product of the acrimonious split and, in his view, Mia Farrow’s jealousy over his relationship with Previn.

The open letter helped reignite the debate two decades later, bringing personal testimony from Dylan Farrow to the center of public conversation and prompting renewed discussion about how the industry, audiences, and culture should reckon with allegations of abuse against powerful figures.

For as long as I could remember, my father had been doing things to me that I didn’t like. I didn’t like how often he would take me away from my mom, siblings and friends to be alone with him. I didn’t like it when he would stick his thumb in my mouth. I didn’t like it when I had to get in bed with him under the sheets when he was in his underwear. I didn’t like it when he would place his head in my naked lap and breathe in and breathe out. I would hide under beds or lock myself in the bathroom to avoid these encounters, but he always found me. These things happened so often, so routinely, so skillfully hidden from a mother that would have protected me had she known, that I thought it was normal. I thought this was how fathers doted on their daughters. But what he did to me in the attic felt different. I couldn’t keep the secret anymore.

When I asked my mother if her dad did to her what Woody Allen did to me, I honestly did not know the answer. I also didn’t know the firestorm it would trigger. I didn’t know that my father would use his sexual relationship with my sister to cover up the abuse he inflicted on me.

Woody Allen and the Sexual Abuse Allegations That Followed Him for Decades

Woody Allen is one of the most influential filmmakers of the last half-century — a director whose work canonized neurotic humor and introspective comedy in American cinema. But alongside his creative legacy lies one of Hollywood’s most controversial personal scandals: a sexual abuse allegation that has reverberated through his career and shaped public perception of his life and work.

What Happened in 1992

According to reports of court testimony, the day after Allen visited the children’s home, a babysitter told Farrow she had seen Allen with his head in Dylan’s lap. She was courageous for coming forward, and she did not deserve the coordinated media slander aimed at discrediting her and forcing her into silence. What she faced wasn’t skepticism in good faith — it was an attempt to erase her credibility, and ultimately, her voice.

Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025. Her memoir, Nobody's Girl, was published posthumously in October 2025.

Until now, critics and defenders alike argued over whether the photo was authentic, doctored, or even ever existed. Andrew implied in his interview with the BBC that the image could have been doctored, despite it having circulated on and off over the course of more than a decade. He also denied ever meeting Virginia.

What Newly Released Documents Reveal

Newly disclosed files from the U.S. Department of Justice Epstein Files include a 2015 email from Ghislaine Maxwell that appears to confirm the photograph’s authenticity. In what was labeled as a “draft statement” sent to Jeffrey Epstein.

That statement contradicts long-standing public denials from both Maxwell and Andrew, who previously cast doubt on the image. This email shows Maxwell explicitly admitting she introduced Andrew to Virginia Giuffre in London in 2001 and that the infamous photo of Andrew with his arm around the then-17-year-old Giuffre was real, contradicting claims it was fake and Andrew’s insistence he never met her.

This same document also proves Virginia Giuffre’s allegations that she was recruited from Mar-A-Lago. In this same paragraph Ghislaine claims she thought Virginia was 18, although emails between her and Jeffrey show they knew she was 15/16 and also the image from 2001 with Prince Andrew, now prove, Virginia was 17 at the time of the photograph.

Why This Matters Beyond the Photo

The photograph has always served as more than just an image — it was a symbol of the allegations Giuffre made against Andrew: that she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and made to have sex with powerful men, including the former prince, when she was a minor.

While Prince Andrew settled a civil claim in 2022 without admitting liability and was stripped of his royal titles in 2025, no criminal charges have followed, and Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on the latest disclosures.

But this email adds new weight to the historical record, undermining long-running defenses and bringing fresh scrutiny to what powerful figures knew, when they knew it, and how they responded.

A Family Crisis in the Public Eye

In recent days, public attention has focused on the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of longtime Today Show anchor Savannah Guthrie. Reported missing on February 1, 2026, around 12:00 p.m.

The situation is serious, ongoing, and emotionally charged. Law enforcement has confirmed that the case is active and sensitive, and that misinformation has been circulating online. Nancy Guthrie remains missing as of this writing.

In response, Savannah Guthrie appeared alongside family members at a press conference, where a prepared statement was read. The statement appeared directed toward whoever may have information relevant to Nancy’s whereabouts, including the sender of an alleged ransom communication reported by media outlets.

The moment was solemn, controlled, and clearly scripted—as most public statements in situations like this are.

And yet, for some viewers, something about it felt… strange.

How TMZ Reportedly Received the Ransom Letter

One of the most confusing—and quietly consequential—elements of this case is how the alleged ransom communication entered the public conversation at all.

According to TMZ’s reporting, the outlet claims it received an email that it described as a ransom letter connected to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. TMZ stated that upon receiving the message, they immediately turned it over to law enforcement.

Police later confirmed that they were aware of the report and were following up on all tips and leads related to it. Importantly, they did not publicly authenticate the contents of the message, nor did they confirm its origin, sender, or legitimacy.

What Is Known (and What Is Not)

As of now, the following points appear to be true based on official statements and careful reporting:

* A message described by TMZ as a ransom letter was reported to authorities

* Law enforcement acknowledged awareness of the report

* Investigators did not publicly confirm whether the message was genuine

* No details about the sender, method of delivery, or technical origin have been released

In other words, the existence of a reported message is acknowledged.The nature and credibility of that message remains undisclosed.

This is standard in active investigations—especially those involving potential hoaxes, third-party interference, or attempts to derail law enforcement.

What garnered a million views on TikTok wasn’t a dramatic claim, or a shocking revelation. A user @1raisedright on TikTok explained they got chills because the delivery felt identical to a line from a movie they had seen before.

“Talk to her and you’ll see”

This is an exact line, pacing, almost identical to a movie scene from Silence of the lambs.

When the two clips are placed side by side—the press conference and the film scene—the resemblance is difficult to ignore.

Media Coaching and Prepared Language

In high-stakes public crises, families are almost always advised to:

* remain calm

* use non-threatening language

* emphasize empathy

* avoid emotional escalation

Statements are often written or edited with help from:

* attorneys

* crisis communication specialists

* victim advocacy professionals

These professionals frequently draw from existing language that is known to work—language that has already proven effective in eliciting empathy, cooperation, or emotional resonance.

A Human Ending to a Very Real Story

At the center of all of this—past interviews, media analysis, timelines, and public reaction—is a real person.

Nancy Guthrie is an 84-year-old woman who is still missing.

Whatever conversations unfold online, whatever theories rise and fall, none of that outweighs the simple truth that a family is waiting, hoping, and searching.

The only outcome that matters is this:That Nancy Guthrie is found.That she is safe.And that she is returned to her loved ones.

Everything else—the analysis, the scrutiny, the questions—should remain secondary to that goal.

If we see horror as entertainment, what does that say about us?

Yesterday I was digging into the new Epstein files — a sprawling archive that reveals more than just the details of one criminal network. Somewhere in that rabbit hole I found myself on a 4chan thread that seemed completely innocuous at first: Stormtroopers and Star Wars memes. But five scrolls down, I found this — a meme celebrating Alex Pretti’s death.

Now, whatever aisle you stand on politically — whether you agree with ICE and DHS enforcement actions or you agree with Pretti’s family — that’s not what we’re debating here. What matters is this: a human being was shot multiple times by another. Someone died at someone else’s hands. That’s serious. That’s not a meme. That’s not a joke.

This glimpse into anonymous message boards underscored something deeply troubling: a growing culture that fetishizes violence, dehumanizes individuals, and treats death as punchline. And that connects — uncomfortably — to the deeper issues exposed in Epstein’s files.

Epstein’s Mindset: Dehumanization and Cruelty

Jeffrey Epstein wasn’t just a criminal who trafficked victims — he absorbed ideas about cruelty and evil. The files show he kept and discussed books like Evilicious —

a work that explores how ordinary people can become capable of cruelty once empathy is stripped away. You can see that mindset in his language — the difference between how Epstein wrote when addressing someone he respected and how he spoke about those he demeaned. In some of his communications, the words sex and torture sit side-by-side without remorse. That tells you something: once you stop seeing people as human, even unspeakable acts lose their moral weight.

This psychological effect isn’t confined to one monster; it bleeds into broader culture.

The Killing of Alex Pretti

On January 24, 2026, 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti — an intensive care nurse and U.S. citizen — was shot and killed by federal Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis tied to Operation Metro Surge, a federal immigration enforcement operation. Reports show he was shot multiple times and killed on a public street. Some official claims about the confrontation contradict widely shared video footage, which appears to show Pretti was unarmed and holding only a phone when he was tackled and fatally shot after intervening to assist someone hit by an agent.

Pretti’s family called him “kind-hearted” and devoted to caring for others in his work as a VA nurse. They also called on the public to get the truth out, countering government narratives about the event.

But on places like the thread I saw, his death becomes meme fodder — an object of mockery or celebration. That’s a stark illustration of how dehumanization permeates our culture at many levels.

The Same Underlying Issue

What ties together Epstein’s morally bankrupt private world and the public reaction to Pretti’s death isn’t just cruelty — it’s the perception of other people as “less than human”.

When a person with power surrounds themselves with people who reinforce that view — that others are objects for pleasure, utility, or entertainment — atrocities follow. We see this in elite circles documented in the Epstein files, and we see it mirrored, on a much wider scale, in how real-world violence is discussed online.

Epstein’s reduction of victims to mere objects prefigured a culture in which strangers are pitted against each other, dehumanized, and then celebrated when they’re harmed. That culture isn’t an outlier — it’s a reflection of how empathy erodes when ideology or tribalism replaces shared humanity.

Why This Matters

There is no easy fix. But here’s what’s clear:

* Death and violence shouldn’t be cheap laughs. When someone dies, the first question should be: Why did this happen? — not Who gets to make jokes about it?

* Empathy isn’t weakness — it’s a social glue. Without it, we rationalize ever more brutal behavior.

* The Epstein files and events like Pretti’s death reveal that cruelty isn’t confined to one realm of society — it’s cultural.

So the next time you scroll past something shocking, ask yourself: Am I witnessing accountability or just another echo of dehumanization?

Because once we normalize cruelty — whether in secret garden parties of the powerful or in anonymous forums — we lose more than civility. We lose conscience.

Said she had been born to deliver babies and has been doing so before I was born.

Similar as the last one with shot and hook but too much blood with so much water and unbearable pain.

She put her hands inside of me and seemed worried.

I didn’t understand.

Something about the baby facing wrong way and putting pressure on a placenta?

Things would have to be different.

She said I had to be brave and strong and listen to her directions so she could help safely get the baby out.

I was TERRIFIED seeing so much blood on the bed and floor and started to panic.

She had me flip over to my hands and knees and had me push and push and it was so excruciating.

I could feel everything as she tried to guide the baby out but I was so tired.

I felt I was dying but suddenly she had caught a beautiful baby mad but beautiful cries.

Then She let me hold her and washed her and brought her back clean and perfect.

She smelled so good and showed me how to feed her.

But only after maybe 15 minutes Mr. M came to take her. I was hysterical!

and begging for more time.

He said those horrible girls were in the car but I wouldn’t let her go.

The old woman promised me she would safe and I had to let go.
