REDBAND

Tipping is a way a lot of people make their money, service workers especially, but what about tipping a self check out machine? This is one has gone too far. Or even the person stamping your hand at a club?? It's hard out here in these streets and employers need to just pay their employees more.

Every movie, tv show, cartoon, snl sketch, etc that you've ever quoted has been written by a writer or improvised by an actor. Our most favorite scenes, stories, and performances have been given to us by writers and actors. Right now, with streaming and a huge shift to AI, a lot of proper compensation is falling to the wayside. Hollywood wants to scan actors and use their likeness however, and whenever they please so they can save money on paying the actual actor.
Yes there is a lot of "boohoo the rich wanna get paid more money," going around right now. But as we're finding out, even some actors and writers in hit shows and movies are still struggling financially, ie: the writer for the hit show "The Bear" only made $20,000, and while that is a nice pay, if that is your only gig for the year then you are making less than most full time minimum wage employees.
Regardless of what you think about the famous, people still deserve to be compensated fairly for their work. Today on the podcast, we talk about all of this.

What are your thoughts?

We talk briefly about some of the updates that have trickled in about the Titan Submersible, and the McDonald's Grimace Shake that has sparked a creative new trend on social media. What is in the Grimace shake? Not many have really be able to pinpoint it, but some say it's "technically" berry flavored. Comment down below if you've tried the grimace shake and give us your review. Also send us your version of the Grimace shake trend if you've made one and we'll feature it on the show!

5 men, a few billion/millionaires and the CEO of Oceangate set out on a trip 13,000 feet below the surface of the ocean with the intent to explore the sunken Titanic ship. With 96 hours of reserved oxygen in a subversive the size of a minivan, the crew went MIA about 1 hour and 45 minutes into the dive. Immediately theories on what happened started circulating as the clock ticked down.
By the time you're listening to this there have definitely been some updates on this matter, so we will definitely do a follow up episode!

The use and availability of AI is increasing rapidly. Everything is turning towards AI. Not to mention the use of Chat GPT. So we finally decide to see what it's all about and test some of its limits. This is by no means a true in depth look at Chat GPT and AI, but we just have fun with it. How do you feel about AI & Chat GPT? It has some real potential, but where is the line? Let us know!

It wasn't that long ago we came out with an episode where we talked about remakes (3 weeks ago). But since Hollywood is making remakes of recent movies, why can't we redo a recent episode? So that's exactly what we did. We brought back a reoccurring guest, Matt, so that we had a little something different this time. We talk about the ridiculous announcement from Disney to remake a live action Moana movie, as well as some other notable remake announcements that have come out since our first remakes episode. But unlike remakes of movies, don't roll your eyes at this episode, tune in for a fun one as we tear apart these absurd remakes.
and be sure to listen till the end where we play a fun game where we come up with our own remakes of classics and recast them.

Let us know what you think about this wave of constant remakes. Any you're excited for? Any that you absolutely despise? Any that you want to see happen that aren't currently announced? Message us on instagram and tell us!
