REDBAND

This week we talk about a bizarre story of a Colorado man whose wife finds another woman's checkbook in the center console of his car. He SWEARS he has no idea who she is or how the checkbook got there...Listen to this episode, his story, and tell us what you think. Is it a cheating cover up? Glitch in the matrix? A ruse to go viral? Did someone set him up? or something else?

We have yet to meet one person who LOVES doing their taxes or loves the IRS. We are no exception to this. If you love the IRS we would love to hear from you. We vent a bit about our despise for tax season, and then talk about a listener's hate for a certain type of TikTok. You've definitely seen the kind we talk about, so let us know how you feel about it. What's a TikTok trend you can't stand? or have you participated in this style?

Remakes are happening more and more. It's nothing new of course, we've seen this happening in the horror genre for decades. But more of the movies that are coming out now are remakes, with Disney now being one of the biggest culprits. And honestly they are remakes of movies that aren't even that old, not that that's the only thing you need to remake a movie. The most recent announcement of "How to Train Your Dragon" as a live action sparked this convo as well as a submission from a fellow listener! We talk about remakes, and why there might be so many. Most call it a cash grab, but as we hear from Matt Damon and read the article we found, that may not actually be the whole reason...
What is a remake you are upset about and a remake you are kind of excited for?

On Today's episode we hit on some travel nostalgia. Those things that are hard to put into words, but you just feel them when you're on vacation. We talk about some of our travel/hotel musts, first things we do when we get to the hotel or airbnb, and whether or not we dress out of the suitcase, or unpack and put clothes into hotel drawers and closets. What are your travel routines? and are you the type to completely unpack in a hotel/airbnb?
We also talk briefly about the importance of calling/visiting your grandparents or any of your loved ones. We have the purple lights on in the studio today for Alzheimers awareness in honor of Estevan's Grandmother who just recently passed.

"You were such a light in this world. I will miss your wonderful smile and infectious laugh. The special times we had together watching movies, playing games, and eating snacks. May the fog be lifted from you now, allowing you to have the ultimate clarity. My greatest fear was that you would forget me someday, but even when your Alzheimers was at it's worst you somehow never did. You taught me that love is truly more powerful than any disease. I love you forever."
Love, Estevan

The DC cinematic universe needed a hero, and they are hopefully about to get one. Marvel director James Gunn may just be the one for the job, to turn things around over at DC. This week we talk about James Gunn's slate for the future of DC movies, tv shows, and more. We follow along with his video where he discusses the tentative plan for the next 8-10 years. Needless to say we have some high hopes and are pretty excited by what he has planned. What do you think about his plan? Are you excited and what are you most excited for? or are you burnt out on superhero movies?

...........That's us doing a millennial pause. What is this phenomenon that occurs? In a nutshell it is the pause people, mainly millennials, do after hitting record before they start talking in a video. Many examples of this can be seen around the internet, and we show one in this episode. We talk about why it may have started occurring and something that Gen-Z does. Plus we venture guesses on what future generations could be upset at us about.

Today on Redband we talk the divisive topic of ASTROLOGY. "What's your sign?" "My moon is in Virgo Rising." Sh*t like that. Some people are all for Astrology and believe in it whole heartedly. Looking at their horoscopes and sometimes basing their whole personality on what their sign says. Others will laugh in your face and think it has no effect on everyday life. Elijah and Estevan give their stance on it, and their answer may surprise you.

What is your sign and what do you think about astrology?
