In this week’s passage, we read of Uzzah, who reached out and touched the ark of the covenant as it was being transported and was immediately struck dead. The ark represented to Israel God’s presence with his people. As we read this passage, we recognize how great God’s holiness is, and we also praise this holy God who makes his home among us, a sinful people sanctified through a glorious Savior.
