The one who receives God's call to follow Jesus must be willing to die to self and surrender all things in order to follow Jesus. But Jesus not only gives us the example but the grace to follow Him.

Jesus calls the ordinary to follow Him on mission to make disciples.

As we encounter the risen Christ, he subverts our story, makes sense of God’s story, and reorients us to His story.

Meals are a big part of our holidays and celebrations.

Jesus likens the Kingdom of God to a party that he is going to host, and everyone is invited.

Jesus’ and the disciples cater a meal for 5000 and the leftovers tell us two things about Jesus. They tell us His identity and how He goes about multiplying His purposes.

Too often we become self-righteous and compare ourselves to others in order to lessen the need for forgiveness. But we’re all in need of God’s Grace and everyone has need of it.

As Jesus calls, parties, and heals, we encounter grace that is inclusive, welcoming, and transforms us a the deepest level.

In Jesus’ inaugural address He announces Good News of a comprehensive kingdom that welcomes all to unprecedented blessing.

The psalmist calls us not to mundane, halfhearted worship, but joyful glorious praise. This can only be accomplished as we learn to remember all that God has done for both corporately and personally. And as we worship the One worthy of our praise, there should be an invitation to the world to come and see and hear how good our God is and all that He has done.
