God's servant hears the word of the decree, "You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession" (Psalm 2:7-8). The warning has gone out to kings. Now, the word must come to the church. Who will tell of the decree? What will the church do and be in light of the Lordship of Jesus Christ? What is the churches basis for engaging the world? Ought we engage the culture, politics, and other areas of life?

Repentance is at the heart and soul of the Old Testament and is at the heart of the gospel message coming from Jesus himself. So why then do so few Christians and churches even talk about repentance? Maybe we ought to reexamine the Scriptures and repent of the ways in which we have laid aside this essential doctrine so that God would once again turn his face towards us and bless us.

Here we go...let's talk about money. But let's start with this...What are you devoted to? Money is a great motivator but it is no great god. God calls his people to serve him with their wealth. God supplies with everything so we ought to use it wisely and for the sake of others. But we have also forgotten one massive promise. If we seek first his kingdom...if we honor the LORD with our money...God will overwhelm us with Himself and will richly provide for his people. Don't believe it? Then you need to listen.

The West is spiraling down the drain of intellectual suicide. We have traded the worship of God and the image of God, for mere idols. Our country has sought to twist the created order, speak lies, and profane Christ who is LORD. In our own city of Las Vegas, NV an amendment to the state constitution is being put forward to codify absurdity and call evil good. The church needs to arise. We need to awake. We need to repent. What will we do?

Though it is the shortest of Psalms...it packs enough gold to be mined for ages. The nations are called to worship the LORD. But why? Do they know of his steadfast love? If not, how will they head the LORD's command?

The church has been given the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. But what are they? How does the church wield them? Most have abandoned these verses or claimed them and abused them in the process. While carefulness must be had, we cannot fall into neglecting the word for the sake of abusing it. Both are ditches. Instead, we need to find a clear road ahead and reclaim what it means that Jesus gave the church the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven.

This is a touchy subject for most. Abusive churches and pastors have done their fair share of damaging Christians and the Church. Yet, when we come to the Bible, God has spoken clearly how pastors are to lead and how Christians ought to submit. What we must be watchful of is swinging from one extreme to the next. Abusive churches and pastors are sinful and unbiblical. But so too are churches and Christians with no biblical oversight and direction. So what does the bible have to say about obedience and submission to pastors in the church?

Jesus makes a simple point: the tax collector, who could not even lift his eyes up to the heavens to pray, went home justified. The Pharisee did not. Yet, such a simple truth brings with it many things for us to consider. Most importantly, when we see the Pharisee, we often don't realize, is that there is more than meets the eye. We ought to take note of Jesus parable, that we would be a people marked out by humbleness like that of the tax collector.
