How come we naturally view the law negatively?  Does the the moral law of God expressed in the 10 commandments and Jesus' Sermon on the Mount have any relevance or effect on us? What is the function of the law for believers? In this sermon Pastor JT Stead shows us from scripture how Jesus himself came to fulfill the Law but not abolish it.

An eternal pitfall for many today is divorcing the Law of God from the person of God. Over the summer we took. our students through a 6 week sermon series on practical Christianity. We called this series "Back to Basics" and today we have a sermon on Bible Study. Our student ministry intern Gabe Whittaker preached this sermon out of Psalm 119 and explained why the greatest investment we could ever make is in the word of God. This Summer we started a sermon series called "Back to Basics" a 6 week study on practical Christianity. In this sermon Josh Hoover, who has been serving in student ministry faithfully for 6 plus years, opened up the word from John 13. I can think of no one better to preach this sermon to our students. This sermon was preached by Pastor JT Stead at our Junior High Summer Camp 2019. The theme of this years camp was "Hearts" or the different heart conditions the Bible talks about. In this sermon the students were shown their greatest need, which is that they need a new heart. But the question remains how do we receive this new heart?

How far is to far? What is God's will for us when it comes to Sexual Relationships? What is the difference between lust and love? How does sinful lust pervert God's design for marriage between a biological male and a biological female. Our culture cannot clearly answer these questions, in fact they don't even ask those questions but tolerate sin. the Bible on the other hand is absolutely clear on the topic of sexual immorality.
