In his death, Jesus fulfills Old Testament expectations and finishes the work God gave him to do, proving that He is the Christ. Therefore, we should not only believe in Him but live boldly for the gospel.

Jesus is no ordinary king. He is a heavenly and sinless king whose condemnation at the hands of guilty men is the means whereby the guilty in every age are declared innocent through faith in his name.

Jesus is no victim of circumstance but a willing, faithful, and sovereign Savior who gave His life to save ours.

The more that we meditate on God's redemption and live into our identity as people who have been redeemed, the more we will live lives that continually give praise to God.

Given that Jesus prays for the unity of all who come to faith through believing the gospel, let's make every effort to live in line with his prayer as we journey together to our heavenly home where we'll behold his glory.

Jesus asks the Father to glorify Him through the cross and to protect His disciples and sanctify them in truth as they've been sent on mission to the world.

Jesus doesn't take away the troubles of the world, but he promises irrevocable joy and peace in the midst of any circumstance. Since these promises are grounded in his death and resurrection, let's seek our joy in who he is, what he's done, and the life he's secured for us in heaven.

All genuine Christians have been given the Holy Spirit, who causes us to walk not fleshly, but spiritually - evidenced by humble selfless love toward all, especially the brethren.
