This weekend we kicked off our year of studying the Word of God together and began this new series, Mission 24, about our church’s mission statement. OUR MISSION: We exist to help all people experience redemption, live in freedom, and become partners in the Gospel.

Sunday Steven talked about how to get prepared for the word ahead. Whenever we start out on a new year, a new journey, a new mission —or even when we are in the process of continuing one; it is always good to stop and evaluate.

This week Steven drew our attention to one of the most famous prophecies ever recorded. Written 800 years prior to the Birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah alludes to the one who will come and will change everything.

In our 3rd week of our Christmas series we continue in Isaiah. This week we look deeper into the next few verses in the passage to see the picture of “A Joyous, but Bloodied, Warrior.” Let’s look at the three lessons Pastor Steven walked us through from Isaiah 9:4-5 to see what Jesus does.

Last week we began our Christmas series looking to Isaiah 8:19-9:2 and were reminded that evil exists in the world, who Jesus is, and why He came. This weekend Mike Edwards walked us through the following verse in the passage, Isaiah 9:3 to remind us of our true source of joy.

This week Pastor Steven kicks off the Christmas season by answering the questions "Who was Jesus?" and "Why did Jesus come?" In Isaiah 8:19 - Isaiah 9:2 we come to find that there is a battle between good and evil. Jesus came to destroy evil, because evil is very real.
