In our 3rd week of our Christmas series we continue in Isaiah. This week we look deeper into the next few verses in the passage to see the picture of “A Joyous, but Bloodied, Warrior.” Let’s look at the three lessons Pastor Steven walked us through from Isaiah 9:4-5 to see what Jesus does.
Last week we began our Christmas series looking to Isaiah 8:19-9:2 and were reminded that evil exists in the world, who Jesus is, and why He came. This weekend Mike Edwards walked us through the following verse in the passage, Isaiah 9:3 to remind us of our true source of joy.
This week Pastor Steven kicks off the Christmas season by answering the questions "Who was Jesus?" and "Why did Jesus come?" In Isaiah 8:19 - Isaiah 9:2 we come to find that there is a battle between good and evil. Jesus came to destroy evil, because evil is very real.

This week Steven talked about what shocks God. He’s been around since the beginning, is omniscient and omnipresent, yet THIS shocks Him?!
Last week we looked at how, when we see that truth has stumbled in the public squares, the Church fell first. What happens next? Culture implodes!
This week Pastor Steven helps us to understand that it was the sin of the church in general that led to the cultural decay of our present time. It was not God abandoning the church or the culture falling and the church reflecting the culture, it was the church that fell first and then the culture follows. How do we fix it? Let's find out!

How did we get to where we are as a society? This is due to the lies we have been told. In our new series Two Lies and a Truth we are presented with the lies that "everything is fine" and that our society "is a trend and everything will revert back naturally." Truth is, reversion only happens when the church leads. Join us as Pastor Steven walks through Isaiah 59:14-15 to help us understand how the church needs to react and how to be ready for the lies of our time.
Last week we walked through identifying the sins of a nation, and how individual sin leads to corporate sin. In the secondweek of this series, we’ll conclude the series by addressingthe result of sin and how we are called to respond.
