This week we unpacked 1 John 3:11-24 and ask the question of what is the difference between Christian love and Worldly love?
During this week's sermon, Steven unpacks 1 John 2:28-3:10 by answering this question: What does it mean to be a child of God? Said another way, how should the children of God behave?
This week, we welcome Mike Edwards as he leads us through 1 John 2:18-27.
"Abiding with Christ, means advancing with Christ... where He goes, we go."
"There is no love devoid of truth."
Today, we bring our attention to 1 John 2:12-14. John breaks these three verses down into communication with three different groups of people: children, young men, and fathers.
Join us to find out what John is communicating and how it affects the building of God's Kingdom.
How do you know that you're practicing genuine faith?
Join us in 1 John 2:7-11 as we see that we must know the truth, obey it, and love others as Christ loved us.
"Love can see a future where hatred cannot."
We are continuing our series, Ex[tra]vangelical, by jumping into 1 John 1:5-10. But first, what is an ex[tra]vangelical?
This summer at Redemption- join us for our new series: Ex[tra]vangelical. This series comes from 1 John, an epsitle that the disciple John wrote to defend the Christian faith, urge Christians to persevere, and remind them of their roots of their faith. We believe that this epistle is as relevant today as the day it was written.
The question is not: Does God want to fill us with good things... but how does God fill us with good things? One of the many ways He does this is by giving us a city to dwell in. Within this city there is a family we belong to- the Body of Christ.
