The Penn State offense was better than critics want to give it credit for in 2024 yet there's no doubt there was room for improvement after the first year under new offensive coordiantor Andy Kotelnicki. On today's BWI Live Show, we're discussing where the team can evolve this upcoming season by playing off schemes and player strengths from last season. We'll also discuss the latest new from the team and review the freshmen roster update from last week.

Penn State news: Seider officially announced at Notre Dame 

Today, we'll start with the news that former Penn State running backs coach JaJuan Seider has officially been announced as the new running backs coach at Notre Dame. We'll discuss the details of Seiders' new situation and recap the transition to new running backs coach Stan Drayton. 

Next, we'll briefly discuss the latest recruiting news from the Nittany Lions. Teams are lining up official visits for the upcoming summer recruiting surge, during which most of Penn State's class will be decided. Check out the site for more information about who plans to show up in Happy Valley during May and June. 

Roster Update released last week 

Penn State provided the first roster udpate for 2025 after the week's BWI Live Show went off the air. Today, we'll review the changes and updates from the previous list of players on campus. We'll mainly focus on the team's freshman class and which players showed up with the measurables to contribute next fall if things go well for each player. 

Rebuilding the Penn State offense 

Kotelnicki dramatically improved the team's explosive play percentage on offense last year and helped the program reach its first Big Ten Championship game since 2016 and a college football playoff run. As always, teams must evolve and change year to year based on the talent turnover from the previous season. 

While much of the core remains the same from 2024, there are places that Penn State can adapt and change the plan for the upcoming season. We're discussing the schemes and ideas the team can implement to help generate even more explosive plays in the passing game.
