welcome back, rediscover fam! happy taurus season to all you late April/May babies, and happy 31st birthday to our very own Jessica Faye! Jess is a Taurus through and through; her grounding energy holds space for everyone to find a safe space in her company, and her childlike spirit carries higher and higher with each passing year. as i told her on her birthday (5/08 baby!), she always knows when to fly and when to land. it is a privilege to be her friend and partner on this rediscover journey, and as always, today's episode is full of her beautiful perspective on life, love, and new beginnings.

this month's episode is all about embracing change when it feels aligned, finding beauty in the contrast (and the chaos), and shifting perspectives. when everything feels like it's happening all at once and life feels overwhelming, saying "I GET to do this" instead of "I HAVE to do this" can make all the difference in the world. Welcome back, rediscover fam! Last month we worked through a lot of emotions, and now as we spring into April we have a joy-filled episode to share with you all.
First and foremost, we have a major wedding update - Kristen said yes to her dream wedding dress! 👰🏻♀️ She is going to tell us the full story and some lessons learned during the process. Also, in true rediscover fashion, she will mythbust what wedding dress shopping is really like vs. what we see on TV, as well as share some helpful, tangible wedding dress shopping tips that you can take into your own experience.
Additionally, as far as our world traveler goes, Jess is feeling rejuvenated and excited to share about this next portion of Nomad Life Phase 2 - Morocco, Egypt, and Kenya. These destinations are incredibly unique, and with so much newness comes an incredible amount of growth! So we're excited to dive into cultural differences and personal reflections from this chapter of the journey.

We're taking it back to the 1989 era and the album's initial relase in 2014, reminiscing and rediscovering where we were and what was going on in our lives at the time. It's incredible how much that album shaped our experiences by simply playing in the background of our lives almost a decade ago, and the milestones moments that will forever be tied to those songs.
And speaking of milestone moments, Jess and Steven are about to embark on PHASE 2 of nomad life, and you won't BELIEVE where their world travel adventures are taking them next! As always, Jess has insight, inspiration, tips and advice to share as they get ready to head back out into the great wide somewhere. It's going to be pure magic, so don't miss it!
As we plunge deeper into our conversation and round out the episode, we're examining closely the words and language we use to describe our circumstances, and how shifting our perspectives and diminishing both negativity and systemic fear can help us to find joy and fulfillment in every season. Today's episode was recorded on September 17th, which was rediscover's original release date back in 2020. Whether you are a brand new listener or an OG, we are so thankful to have you as part of our rediscover fam.
Today's episode honors the journey we have been on, not only with this podcast but within life itself. There is no ultimate "outcome" with what we do here - only an evolution of styles, topics, lessons, and connections.
Our conversation today also dove into reevaluating our "why" of posting on social media. It feels like there's a change in the winds in the way we share and consume content. It will be exciting to see how it all unfolds!
Whether it be social media or something else, we realize how important it is to detach and be the observer of everything that crosses our paths. We know these things are not who we are but rather something we do or experience - and that makes for a whole different approach.
When you practice the "law of unwavering faith" things often happen within the 11th hour. So let's reflect on past examples of where instances like this unfolded, accept that doubt can exist in the process, and relax in the Knowing that everything truly happens in its perfect time.

The journey of womanhood is one of so much beauty, but also has so many complexities and layers. It can be extremely humbling at times, especially when we need to question our own views that have been fed to us from the lens of the patriarchal structure we were born into. It's exciting to break down these walls, see things from a more curious and neutral standpoint, and to choose AGAIN for the highest good of all. It's such a gift to be able to reclaim and nurture our innate feminine nature.
