We are continuing "London Bridge" month, and it just so happens that Lucy is from London, England! She just moved back to London actually - for the past decade, Lucy has been off doing SEVEN contracts with Disney Cruise Line, as well as a Cultural Representative Program at EPCOT. Lucy is the perfect person to talk about the UK vs. US cultural differences because she lived it first-hand for so many years. (and taught us so much on this episode!) Also in today's conversation, you will hear all about Lucy's realities of ship life and the CRP and what kept her going during her most intensive seasons. Equal parts comedic and wise, Vinny Thomas (also known as MrThomasEnglish) joins us today on ReDIScover to discuss how staying authentically true to who you are plays an integral role in your life and career.

Vinny is a life-long social media lover who is originally from England. While working at a camp in the States, he met his (now) wife, moved to America, and became a teacher!

Vinny started filming teacher skits to keep his students entertained during quarantine, which grew into an internet sensation!

Since then, Vinny has left his teaching job to go full-time doing content creation, where he now creates videos beyond teacher content and more based on different facets of who he is. Some video topics include "England vs. America" skits or Disney merchandise and costume videos!

Today's episode really showcases Vinny's story and how all phases of his life are interconnected. These characters set great examples of women stepping out of age-old constructs into a new, better, and more authentic way of living.

Whether they were a woman who was:

• Sneaking off to war in place of her father, even when it was forbidden for women 🐉
• So much more than the "most beautiful (and misunderstood) girl in town" 🥀
• Wanting to choose who she spent her life with instead of marrying for the sake of an age-old law 🕌
• Or a woman with a vision, whose gender and financial situation did not determine her ability to create her dream business whatsoever 🐸

We hope the characters in this episode re-inspire you to step into your power. Let us all be reminded that gender roles are mere constructs that we, just like these heroines, are very capable of overcoming. Being authentically who you are on the inside is completely unrelated to society's explanation of "gender," and your truth will always prevail. ♡

We are kicking off Season 3 of ReDIScover by having a conversation with Hayley Morris - a lifelong comedian and digital creator who may be one of the most clever people creating videos on TikTok and Instagram Reels today!

After having to leave her UK Cultural Representative Program at Disney during the pandemic, Hayley dipped into her lifelong passion for comedy as she tried to figure out what was next. She got a glimmer of inspiration to film a "Me vs. Brain" skit about intrusive thoughts... and it completely charmed the internet with its utter relatability!

Ever since, Hayley has made loads of hilarious videos with characters based on the human body including Brain, Period, Stomach, Vagina, Liver, Bladder, Poop, Pee - you name it! These characters come to life with their own unique personalities and hilarious outfits and, in the videos, they actually have a chat with Hayley herself. We promise you'll laugh your butts off. (oh yeah, Butt is a character, too!)

During today's interview, we got to ask Hayley more about her journey, her creative process, and her feelings about manifesting more than 1 million followers after creating content for over 10 years! We are so thrilled to celebrate Hayley and her dream come true, and we are sure you will love her just as much as we do!
