“Rediscovering My Roots” is an international memoir series authored by Mansur Abdullah. The series chronicles the journey of a young African-American Muslim boy, raised by parents who embraced Islam during the Black Power movement of the 1960s and 70s. Upon returning to Detroit at 21, Mansur navigated the challenges of reintegration, leveraging his community and the influence of hip-hop culture to enhance his understanding and pursue further education at Wayne State University.
