Abraham has waited several decades from the promise of God to come true. When it does it seems like it will all be stripped away in a radical call of obedience. Does Abraham just love God’s promises or does he love God?

When you entered into covenant with God through Jesus, you may not have changed your name, but you got a new identity. God wants people who will live for him and in relationship with him even when “rituals” are broken.

In light of all the broken promises we experience, it is a wonder we trust anyone at all. So how do we trust a God that makes improbable promises to us? How are we suppose to respond to him? Follow along in the story of how Abram puts his trust in God and his promises.

We acknowledge God, but what do we need to know to know God?

As you think about your own salvation, what does it elicit? If you’ve been saved, you want to honor God, but if you are struggling, maybe you don’t realize what you’ve been saved from.

No one sins out of a sense of duty. People step outside the boundary because they believe there is more joy, more happiness, more satisfaction in the sin than the obedience. What would happen if we sought God in the midst of this?

All creation brings pleasure to the heart of God. We must find moments to enjoy and marvel at creation. In doing so we marvel at the power and beauty of God.

God has not abandoned us to be overgrown and unfruitful. When we have been pruned we have expectations of great fruitfulness in the future.

It’s one thing to be tested at school or in your occupation, but what about an exam of your faith? Are we really who we claim?

Do you feel like your life is full of thorns right now? Too often we feel thorns are punishment when in reality a thorn is precious because what it produces in us. More of the power of God displayed in out lives. God uses that pain to show what he can do, not what you can do.
