Hey Teacher Friend!

Feel frustrated? Disappointed? Exhausted? Well I am here to say...you are NOT defeated! You are NOT weak! You are stronger than you think, and this too shall pass! Teaching is a rewarding, yet demanding, career.  With long hours and a heavy workload, teachers may fall prey to teacher burnout! This being said, you need proper support to continue shining your teacher light! When the time comes to transition from a traditional teacher into a homeschooling teacher, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons.  Each year, thousands of more parents are choosing home education programs for their children while forgoing the traditional educational system.  Teachers are in high demand for this type of educational model.  According to the National Home Education Research Institute, the population of homeschooled children is increasing by 15-20 percent each year, making a viable market for homeschooling businesses. 

With the homeschool market expanding and teachers looking for educational alternatives, this episode is designed to answer some questions about the advantages, disadvantages and trade-offs when stepping out and becoming a teacherpreneur! In Today's episode, we are taking a deep dive into what a Homeschooling Business actually is!  When most people think of homeschooling, they may picture a mom, child or children experiencing day-to-day life in a home full of books, toys, arts/crafts and all sorts of fun!  But how does a homeschooling BUSINESS look different than a regular homeschool? 

Can TEACHERS really HOMESCHOOL other people's children? 

Is it profitable?

Is it legal? 

What are the options?

Is it really enjoyable?

Does it have to be in MY HOME?

Hey, Teacher Friend!

Welcome to the First Episode of "Teacher, Let Your Light Shine"!  The world needs YOU, Teacher Friend, to step out in faith and design the life you LOVE as a teacher so you can make a BIG impact on our future generations!  Today I'm here to share how this happened to me!

In this podcast, I will share my experience as a classroom teacher,  instructional coach and what ultimately led me to creating a homeschooling business!  I know there are so many more teachers who would love this opportunity, and I want to share this with you!   I hope you are given a fresh perspective into what possibilities lie ahead of you in your teaching journey. 

I am in Year 2 of beginning a dream school- Lighthouse Learning! I left public school 2 years ago, looking for purpose, freedom and JOY! Never did I think I would be homeschooling my own children, let alone other children. But God had his hands in all of this, and He made a way!  Enjoy!
