Why should I care about the environment?” Asked this question, most people would say, “because we need to save the planet for future generations.” Yet, if life has no meaning or purpose, why bother saving the environment for anyone, let alone future generations? We might as well get what we can while we can. If we ought to protect the environment (and we should), we need a worldview that provides a better answer.
