Jim Kohn was a kid headed for trouble, until a successful family friend took him under his wing. He was put to work in the restaurant business, and found his passion! Everything changed. His “Stepdad” encouraged him to go to college, and he later graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management from Cornell.
On a bet, he took over a failing restaurant, and found he had a real knack for it. He recovered many, many more restaurants, steakhouses, nightclubs; and although he eventually left the restaurant business, he still loves taking care of and feeding people.
Jim shares his experience and wisdom in how to perfect an excellent customer experience, create relationships built on trust, and demonstrate appreciation. He stresses the importance of creating happy customers through happy employees. By making employees feel like an important part of a team, with control over their destiny, advancement, and growth, he finds they will develop a whole new attitude.
