In this episode of the Refinement NOT Retirement
podcast, Tony and Christine dive into one of their favourite life refinements: Pickleball! This sport, which has been around for 50 years, has recently surged in
popularity across the USA and is now taking the UK and Europe by storm.
Fresh from attending the Skechers English Open
by Pickleball England, the largest pickleball tournament outside the USA, Christine and Tony share their experiences and insights.
With 1,976 players from 42 countries competing at
the Telford International Centre, this event showcased the incredible growth and high standards of the sport. Tony and Christine proudly introduced new players from their local group, the Cotswolds Picklers, and recount some
humorous on-court moments. They also highlight the achievements of their friend Lou Stephens, who received an award for her special contributions to the sport.
Tune in to hear why you MUST give pickleball a try,
the potential recognition of Pickleball England as the governing body by Sports England, and how this sport can help you make fantastic new friends.
