Paul’s tell´s the Galatians (Galatians 5:22-23) that if they would allow the Holy Spirit to control their lives, they would produce the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.

The jailer brought them into his house . . . ; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household (Acts 16:34).

Paul and Silas were not perfect. Just like the rest of us, they made mistakes that had consequences, but God used them anyway.

The simple act of gathering with other believers and hearing how God is working in their lives encourages us in our own journey.

Will we surrender control of our life journey to God so that we follow His plan instead of our own?

Paul pens the phrase “a holy mystery.” Then he describes this wondrous day where believers, both dead and alive, shall be changed in an instant.

As Jesus fulfills the words of the prophet Isaiah, He models how unity in diversity is possible.

We can stand in witness of all kinds of terrifying events, eyes and ears open, because Jesus is faithful.

The question is not, “will God go before me,” but rather, “Am I willing to go behind God?”

When we build a life focused on repaying God, we prove that we misunderstand the gift and the Giver.
