We get to start journeying through Psalm 97 in this episode. A theme that continues here is the power of our Father and that He is the one who rules over our earth and universe. In our lives are we recognizing that and joining with Him on the winning team, or are we trying to pursue our own path in life? 

The Psalmist in the rest of Psalm 96 is telling us that we should tell those who do not know God that He reigns. He established the world and He will judge the people righteously. Knowing that God will not let evil continue forever and instead will bring judgment, the heavens will rejoice. The earth will be glad. The sea will roar in gladness. The fields will be joyful and the woods will rejoice. Truth is in power, are we also rejoicing over that and the power that our Father gives to us as protection?

We get to start Psalm 96 in this episode. We continue in the theme from the last episode of seeing, realizing, and then praising our Father for the great care and awesomeness that He bestows on us and our world. Then the Psalmist tells us that it is through the wonders and glory of our Father that we can share with others who He is. It's like sharing a superhero story. 

This episode takes us through the entirety of Psalm 95. Here the Psalmist starts by telling us that we should praise our Father. Then all the things that He is in charge of and has built. This leads him to reflect that instead of doing his own thing, hardening his heart, and tuning God out, he should realize that God is the one who created everything. So, with that realization, he should be listening to what God has to say because He knows exactly what is best. This is something I'm working on, are you? 

We continue in Psalm 94 in this episode. The Psalmist here steps into the truths about our Father and away from the vengeance, he was feeling in the beginning of the chapter. Here he tells us that though he had a multitude of thoughts, like being overwhelmed, stressed, angry, etc, at that moment God is a comfort to his soul. In those types of moments in your life, are you going to God to find the comfort your soul needs? 

This episode takes us through the beginning of Psalm 94. Here the Psalmist seems to be in a place where he really would love to bring retaliation on those doing wrong. But is that the action he goes through with or does he have a realization that we can also apply in our lives when we feel that same way? 

We walk through all of Psalm 93 in this episode. Here we are told about the glory of our Father and than He is compared to the ocean. Not just the calm beautiful ocean, but the flooding waters with the mighty waves crashing all around. Though the power and noise caused by this is in no comparison to our Father's ability. It is interesting to me to think about the power of our Father through the visuals that the Psalmist provides. 

We continue journeying through Psalm 92 in this episode. Here we are told what happens to the enemies of our Father, death. Then the Psalmist goes on to paint the picture of those who are not the enemies of God. Here we see that they have successful long lives. Which path would you rather have for your life and are you taking steps to make that a reality? 

Here we begin walking through Psalm 92. It appropriately opens by telling us that praising our Father is a good thing. In light of what we have been learning in the last couple of episodes about His care and protection for us, this holds particularly pertinent. But then the Psalmist moves into telling us about a habit he has for morning and evening. Is that a habit we should also implement in our lives? 

This episode continues to take us through Psalm 91. Here we continue to learn of the abounding care that our Father provides and the power it gives us throughout our daily lives. We are also told that we are given an angel who looks out for us. So, in those moments where you feel like you are the only one, remember that you have the Creator of the universe by your side and constantly listening to you AND you have an angel protecting you.
