Every man for himself is a corrosive additude, which sometimes permeates the ranks of the Church and the culture. Washington complained about the lack of public virtue during the revolution. The lack of shoes of the army during the war was an artificial problem. The shoes existed and were in a warehouse in Harrisburg, but the continental congress was playing political games. Until the Church can learn to give up the every man for himself attitude we all will suffer.

God hides his power from the nations, thus a knowledge of Him is a privilege. The Church (which is given this privilege) must bring this knowledge to the nations.

The Church should bring liberty to the Creation (Romans 8), and when it does it can nearly instantly take hold in a culture.

Bad Fatherhood in the Churches produces might men. Unfortunately, it is these mighty men that are the churches worst enemy. Fathers must have the courage to judge in their own house, else the culture will fall for a lack of just judgement.

Theodosius, Emperor of Rome perverted justice even though he claimed to be a Christian. The Church of his day judged him. Sin always has corporate results, especially when leaders are involved. It has to be dealt with early or it snowballs. The Church of our day in general has dropped the ball with dealing with public evil.

The French Waldenses were a rather small movement for many years, until suddenly, they exploded in impact. What caused the Church to suddenly become a body in this instance (and in general)? When does it decide to repent of its rejection of the Law? And what makes up the character of a people?

The Church must lead the nation in repentance. As the Apostle Peter states (I Peter 4: 17) "For the time is come that Judgment must begin in the house if God, and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" As Daniel says in his prayer as well "We have sinned, we and our fathers...." It is the duty and calling of the Church to call the nations to repentance and preach the whole counsel of God...
