Our Text this morning comes from the book of Colossians chapter 2 verses 16 through 23. These are the very words of God

So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.

Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations— “Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,” which all concern things which perish with the using—according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

"So how are we able to escape the fools hell of self-deception? What is the antidote? It starts with wisdom and wisdom begins with the Fear of the Lord. We are promised that those who seek Wisdom diligently will find her but there can be no seeking wisdom without the fear of the Lord and there can be no fear of the Lord if there is not first confession of sin."

Christ Covenant Church is a historically reformed and evangelical church that has been serving the greater Centralia Chehalis area since May of 2021.  We meet for worship each Lord’s Day to sing psalms & hymns, confess our historic faith, hear the Word faithfully proclaimed, and celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Throughout the week we go out into the world to build the Kingdom of Christ right here in Lewis County as it is in heaven. If this sounds like a vision for you, we would love to have you join us.
