Jesus himself said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” And unlike Adam who was not given dominion over the heavens, the man Christ Jesus now reigns from heaven, together with the saints, and he is in the business of making all things new, of fashioning for us a new heavens and new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

Christ has obtained His kingdom. The good news of His kingdom is going forth in victory. The gospel is not just, "We get to go to heaven when we die," or, "We get to have a personal relationship with Jesus." Although both of those things are good news indeed (and are certainly an important part of the gospel), but the glorious news of the gospel is that the kingdom of Christ has come!

"Woe to them that call evil good and good evil. That put darkness for light and light for darkness. That put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter." 

"Woe unto those," is a terrifying reality for them that do not repent. We will see the reward for the wicked. With sight we will behold the justice and mercy of God. In them that perish the severity of God will be manifest. In the believer's escape from wrath the richness of His divine goodness.

Though the nations might rage around us, God is in charge. God finds the resistance of the wicked humorous. He laughs. We should laugh with him. Don't take yourself too seriously and don't give the efforts of the wicked too much credit. Know your boundaries. Don't give your children or your lusts over to the heathen nations, but know that Christ has conquered over death and reigns over everything.

You have been given much, so share what you have with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Start small if you must, but do start! Hospitality is a potent weapon agains the enemy, and may our devotion to one another cause the Devil to fear because we are known as a church given to hospitality.
