This continues a series of studies stemming from my studies with Bruce Waltke, his lectures, and our book, How to Read and Understand the Psalms (Crossway, 2023). Drawing from the imagery of a shepherd and his flock, the sermon explores themes of trust, provision, and protection, emphasizing God's unwavering care for his people even amidst danger. Through the familiar verses of Psalm 23, the speaker examines the pastoral setting, the banqueting table, and ultimately, the promise of eternal dwelling in God's presence, highlighting the significance of God's constant presence as the source of safety and abundance. The message underscores the concept of God as a protector, not merely a provider, and the assurance that, like David, believers can find comfort and confidence in God's steadfast love and guidance throughout their lives.
