We talk purity movement, growing up in a ministry family/the family of God(father), being okay with not having all the answers, saying the EFF word and the benefits of having a Christian therapist.

Perhaps it goes without saying but the issue of LGBTQ inclusion in the evangelical church is hugely contentious and even broaching the subject can land a church in peril.

Take Eastlake Church in Seattle for example: It was a standard evangelical church for several years that eventually led to identifying LGBTQ as being allowed to become members.

That decision turned this megachurch from about 5,000 people to about half of that overnight.

They went from about 8 million dollars a year, annual budget, to about half of that overnight.

George Mekhail was a pastor at Eastlake at the time and has since co-founded Church Clarity, an organization that advocates why Churches everywhere should be explicitly clear about what their LGBTQ polices and Women in Leadership policies are.
