Continuing 2023's unexpected theme of unexpected bangers ("M3GAN," "House Party," "Plane," "A Man Called Otto"), "The Devil Conspiracy" was an insane fever dream that insanely delivered to unanimous praise and enthusiasm from the gang. Hear an ungodly detailed summary from one Movie Master before everyone dives into their favorite aspects of what will prove to be one of truly the most entertaining movies of 2023 (rush to theaters if it's still playing). "Shin Ultraman" is up next and, because of its limited release, only one Movie Master was able to catch it in time. The episode closes with a round of the Maltin Game, featuring some of the most popular 90's horror and thriller titles of the era.

With the cutoff for 2022 Oscar-considered movies having passed, it's officially the season of movies for people who actually like watching movies. The "House Party" reboot kicks this episode off and continues the streak of highly fun and enjoyable films to start 2023 (following "M3GAN" and "A Man Called Otto" from last week). Can Gerard Butler's "Plane" keep the streak alive and, if so, what about its DNA separates it from the doldrums of typical modern action movies? Does the title of the film work against it? From there, extensive coverage of the 2023 Golden Globes commences. In spite of an edict from one Movie Master to not mention any of the television categories, winners, or nominees, the same Movie Master ends up spearheading an extensive conversation on why another Movie Master should binge-watch "Breaking Bad" with him.

The gang is reflecting on last week's episode and awards show, as one particular Movie Master experienced a physiological and mental shift in the transition from season one into season two. Before getting too introspective, a Model 3 Generative Android invades the set and discussion turns immediately to "M3GAN," the absurdist horror-comedy-musical from director Gerard Johnstone. Tangentially, a discussion erupts on if Johnny Depp was cursed by a witch at some point to relegate him to a lifetime of needing to portray himself as "a rockin' dude" in civilian life. What is "guy service?"

The gang has been busy since Avatar 2 and the various violent Christmas fare, having caught SEVEN new movies since recording the last episode. Get a quick rundown of The Whale, Glass Onion, Empire of Light, Spoiler Alert, Babylon, Puss in Boots, and I Wanna Dance With Somebody in under 30 minutes. Next up: an end of the year RMMU State of the Union. After having watched 78 movies in theaters since July alone, are the Movie Masters holding up okay? Christmas 2022 comes a little early, as does this week's episode. To close out just around half a calendar year of indiscriminately watching every god damned movie that comes through the local theater, the gang had intended to cover both "Violent Night" and "The Mean One," two Christmas horror offerings that are currently running. Unfortunately, the "Violent Night" segment was largely corrupted beyond repair, so we join the Movie Masters in mid-conversation on this one. Pretend you arrived a little late to the RMMU holiday party and you'll be just fine. You'll be treated to Grinch easter eggs, a poetry reading, an aside about the Regal Unlimited program itself, and as much analysis on "The Mean One" as humanly possible. Disney's "Avatar 2: The Way of Water" has been in theaters less than a week, with many online calling it "the greatest film of all time." The gang went to one of the earliest screenings on previews night to see for themselves. Does this "spectacle" even work as a "movie?"
