The month of February is Heart Health Month and OSF Saint Luke Medical Center is spreading the word regarding heart health. Samantha Rux with OSF joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about the best ways to stay heart healthy. This includes a heart healthy diet, quitting smoking, and avoiding being sedentary, get up and move. Finding a way to stay active on a daily basis and get your heart pumping is great way to stay heart healthy. The Kewanee Boys Basketball had two big games over the weekend and came out ahead in both games. On Friday night, the Boilermakers got a heroic performance from Brady Clark that led to at 61 to 47 win. Clark scored 32 points, tying his single game season high. Then, on Saturday, Brady Clark once again led the Boilermakers in scoring on the way to a 55 to 42 win. Clark dropped 24 in the Saturday win. After Friday's game, Coach Matt Clark spoke with Russ Hughes and Jeremy Peart.

Former WWE Owner Vince McMahon is facing a federal investigation on top of a lawsuit filed against McMahon that alleges sexual abuse, financial abuse, and an attempt by McMahon to Traffick a female employee, Janel Grant to his friends, associates, and at least one professional wrestler with whom McMahon was negotiating a new contract. Author Josie Reisman, who has written the book on Vince McMahon, "Ringmaster: Vince McMahon and the Unmaking of America," joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about the Vince McMahon allegations and how McMahon's past on TV reflects on his alleged private behavior.

Kewanee is getting a Splash Pad in Liberty Park. An OSLAD Grant is coming to the Kewanee Park District that will allow for the Park District to place the much anticipated Splash Pad with full amenities. Andrew Dwyer, Director of the Kewanee Park District, joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Friday, February 2nd, 2024, to talk about the Splash Pad and the planning that still must be done even before the OSLAD Grant arrives and work can begin on bringing the Splash Pad from the idea phase into reality. Andrew Dwyer also took a moment to highlight the work of the restaurant staff at the 19th Hole.

The Kewanee Girls Basketball team celebrated Senior Night by honoring seniors Avery Yepsen and Hannah Tiska and their families on Thursday night. Unfortunately, the could not send them out with a win. The Hall Lady Devils were dominant on Thursday night defeating Kewanee 56 to 35. After the game, Avery Yepsen and Hannah Tiska, along with Coach Nick Christakos spoke to our Russ Hughes and Jeremy Peart.
