October 11, 2023Wake Up Tri-Counties Ameren Lineman Competing at International Lineman RodeoCraig Gilson is the vice president of Electric Operations for Ameren Illinois. And, for a significant part of his career at Ameren, he's been part of the organization sending lineman to the International Lineman's Rodeo in Overland, Kansas. Each year, lineman compete in events that demonstrate skill and safety, as they compete in timed events that also demonstrate skills that underline doing their job quickly but with safety first. The Henry County Farm Bureau recently made visits to schools in Henry County with the Henry County Sheriff's Office and a driving simulator that gives kids the chance to see what driving in farm traffic can be like. But, the most important piece of equipment was farm equipment.
