Councilman Steve Faber is in Chicago recovering from a rare Double Lung Transplant. He's recovering well and even plans on being back home in Kewanee in early November. We briefly caught up with Councilman Faber, for the first time since his remarkable surgery, on Tuesday's edition of Speak Up Tri-Counties.

OSF Saint Luke Medical Center has been raising funds for the Kewanee Area United Way. Samantha Rux and Brenda Streit with OSF Saint Luke Medical Center joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Monday to talk about the various fundraisers that have been run by the different departments at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center and how OSF became part of the workplace fundraising set with the Kewanee Area United Way. It's fundraising season for the Kewanee Area United Way and they have 15 non-profit charities that benefit from this fundraising effort. Linda Blair and Lacy Rosenberg with the Kewanee Area United Way joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Monday to talk about fundraising season and a major fundraiser that is taking place on October 21st. It's the annual KAUW Halloween Hustle 5K for United Way. Prizes for top finishers, special prizes for male and female winners, and a costume contest for the whole family. The A & W Titans picked up a homecoming win for Annawan's Homecoming weekend. The Titans walloped visiting Havana 42 -0. Postgame show with Bob McKee and Tim Karstens.

Princeton defeated Kewanee 37 to 14 on Friday night. Russ Hughes and Jeremy Peart wrapped up the tough night for the Boilermakers.
