In episode 4 of Sean at the Movies I sit down with writer-director Ali Askari and star Josh Helman, to talk about the new to streaming romantic comedy thriller(?) As Long As We Both Shall Live. The film co-stars Yael Stone from Orange is the New Black and the legendary Paul Sorvino, in a story that combines elements of romantic comedy with supernatural drama and suspense. It's a tricky tone to pull off but the audacious trick works because As Long As We Both Shall Live is exciting, funny, a little frightening and always engaging. The Henry and Stark County Health Department wants you to know that if you received your first dose of the vaccine with the Health Department, there will be a dose for your second dose when it is time for you to register. Just be patient, track your time between your doses and sign up for your second dose when the opportunity arises. You will not be left without a second dose. The Health Department will be administering 1,000 doses of COVID Vaccine this Friday, the largest clinic the Health Department has done thus far. The Health Department wants to remind those coming on Friday to show up at your appointed time and not beforehand.

Kewanee Mayor Gary Moore joined WKEI for our People to People program on Tuesday. This was a follow up to Monday night's Kewanee City Council Meeting at which there was conflict once again over the City of Kewanee Audit, specifically related to Councilman Mike Yaklich. The Mayor also addressed other items on last night's agenda including the potential for sewer rate increases related to problems at the Kewanee Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Marlo Thomas, best known as TV’s “That Girl”, visited Wake Up Princeton on WZOE recently. She told host Paul Bomleny she’s very proud of her latest project, a line of tableware with Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn.

Marlo and husband Phil Donahue recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and she has been an active spokesperson for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity founded by her father Danny Thomas in 1962.

Another one of Marlo’s new projects is a podcast with her husband. She says “Double Date” is for all couples, those married for a long time, a short time and those considering marriage.

Thomas has won numerous awards in television and theater and in 2014 was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Dr Robert Ayers with OSF Healthcare joined WKEI on Monday on Tuned In with the latest on COVID-19. More doses are coming. It's still slower than we'd like but the Health Department is putting out everything they can for first and second dose clinics. Meanwhile, an unexpected piece of good news, it appears that handwashing, social distance and wearing a mask has limited the spread of the Flu in 2021. Only one death thus far in Illinois has been attributed to Flu, a number that is very low on average for the state of Illinois.
