When I submitted myself to truly understanding what the words in the Bible meant, everything changed. I'd been a Christian for a long time before this, but this one act fundamentally changed everything about how I moved through the world. John 13:35 is a fairly short verse, but it's one that we should all spend time reflecting upon. How might we change our behavior with that one co-worker that challenges us? What would happen with our responses via text and on social media? Tune in!

If we knew someone had a lengthy reputation of lying and destroying every good thing put into practice, do you think we should trust them now? Surely not, lest we want history to repeat itself. Satan is pretty clever. He knows exactly how to get to us to create enough of a foothold to confuse us, divide us, and try his worst to separate us from God. We have to be vigilant and never let our guard down for his tactics. Listen in as I explore one of the easiest ways he does this work.

If we were to poll the average adult, most of us would probably categorize ourselves as pretty accepting and open-minded. If we're Believers, we might even say we strive to always love others. But does that truly apply to the "least of these"? How about the people who look, think, and act differently than us? What about those whose political affiliations are in stark contrast with our own? In this convicting episode, I'm going for it as I encourage us to get back to the simplicity of what we were called to do and be. 

In today's episode, I begin a thought experiment on what would change if Believer's truly comprehended what it means to live as a co-heir with Christ. What would change if we truly understood what that means to have a royal inheritance? Listen in as I challenge you to move beyond petty slights and offenses to step into what has been promised and sealed through the blood of Jesus.

As someone who spent the majority of my youth trying their hardest to fit into a mold that I was never meant to fit into, I wish someone had lovingly taken me to the side to drill this into my head. God created us all very uniquely, with a specific purpose in mind for us. If we spend our whole lives trying to manipulate ourselves to look and act in a way we were never intended to, we've sadly missed the beauty that comes from the calling God has for us.
